You're my main squeeze

Hello, hello! :)
Hope all is well and you enjoyed your weekend?!...

Today I'm swinging on in to share a 'just for fun' card! Some of you may have known from my 'turtle' card that I recently bought some new Clearly Besotted stamps...Well, there was another set that I was itching to ink up and that day finally came! ;)

Sooo cute, right?!!...Ohhh, when I saw those cute little characters I couldn't resist buying the set! And let me be honest, this is only my first card using this set, so expect more! (and hopefully you'll want to see more?!...)

I did my coloring with markers, though I had to be ever so careful not to get outside of the lines! lol You see how small some of the areas are?!...Whew. ;) After finishing my coloring, I added a little cut piece of patterned paper, which then I stamped on my sentiment under it. To finish things off, I added some twine and sequins. Simple and sweet, yeah?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

we flamin-go together

Hey y'all!
Hope all is well and you're enjoying the weekend?! :)

Nothing but sunshine and heat, here. So with that being said, why not share a flamingo card! ;)
I recently was sucked into the new Lawn Fawn release...again! lol When I saw those flamingos, I just knew I had to have them!

And wait. Do you see all the layers on my card?!! Amazing, right?...(well, for me it is. lol) Many of you know I stick to doing CAS, though with this card I much as I wanted it to be CAS, it just seemed too plain. Should I dare say such a thing?!...Too plain?...lol ;) Well, to be honest it took me about a day and half to put everything together because I really didn't even know what I was doing!...I just had to roll with it. Happy I did, though! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your weekend and see y'all soon!

CASology Featured Designer-post 2

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! :)
Hope all is well?!...

Today I'm sharing my second CASology Featured Designer post! This time I decided to look back at my very first CASology win. Which was back in 2012!! Whew...was it really that long ago!?! Guess time flies, especially when you're having fun! ;)

So, I thought I'd challenge myself a bit...and decided I'd CASE my first winning card!

Here's my winning card.

Look at those photography skills!! lol Wow!...Thankfully, I think it's safe to say my photos are much better nowadays! ;)

And now, here's my CASE.

Keeping things simple. I tried going with the same 'items' so to speak, though had to try and put a 2016 spin on it. ;) I think I did alright?!...I added a little hint of color to the leaves/spoon (which it may be hard to even tell?...), though overall I kept it pretty natural.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day and weekend!

Coffee

Hey y'all! Happy Thursday, almost Friday! :)
Hope all is well?!...

Well, my kids have been out of school now since last Tuesday. It feels so nice not to have to rush in the mornings! Though, I'm no longer keeping much track of the days...which in return makes me all over the place! lol One sure thing is we always end up at the beach, so I really can't complain too much. ;)

Anyhow, I'm swinging in today with a card to share for the current Casology challenge.

Fast. Well, if you ask me a number of things can be fast. Sooo, I first thought about how fast time goes by...because well, doesn't time go by way too fast?! ;) But I really don't have too much of stamps that have to do with a clock, time, etc. So scratch that idea.
Then I started looking at some more stamps that I have yet to use. I saw coffee and thought that could work. Sometimes coffee just isn't made fast enough, right?!...Or perhaps, you run out of coffee too fast?!...Or you drink your coffee way too fast?!...So, I think it works. ;)

Yep. I kept things nice and simple. I wanted to be my card somewhat light/soft, so I chose a grey ink to stamp my image with. After, I used some colored pencils and just added a little touch of color here and there. Once done, I added some twine...which surprisingly, isn't white twine. lol I really did want to use white twine, though I pushed myself to use something other. ;) (I have too many supplies that have been sitting and not used...)

Well, that's all for me today! I'll be back tomorrow with some scheduled posts! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Two cards for today

Hey y'all! Happy Monday!
Hope your week is starting off right?! :)

Today I'm swinging in with a couple cards. One is for the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge, while the other was 'just for fun' using some new goodies.

So here's my CAS-ual Friday's card.

I thought some 'bombs' would be good for a guy. ;) I kept things simple and did a little masking with my bombs. After I added my sentiments, which were from a couple different sets. And I colored my 'blast' with a little bit of red and orange colored pencils. Simple, right?!...

And my 'just for fun' card.

I actually have a little scene going on! lol I was just playing around with some new Clearly Besotted stamps...which really are 'new' to me. This was my first order from them and I have to say I'm loving them! :) I did order another set as well and most likely, I'll order more. ;) They're just sooo cute!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day...see y'all soon! :)

I'm swinging in to share a sweet 'just for fun' card!

I recently order some Unity stamps and couldn't wait to ink them up! I mainly use clear stamps, though I still have love for red rubber as well. ;)

Casology Featured Designer

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! Yay! :)

I'm swinging back in today to share some news. I was recently asked by Melissa, if I'd like to be the next Featured Designer at Casology...of course, I said yes! Yay! :) Thank you sooo much Melissa for having me!

So for today's Featured Designer post, I'm sharing a little more about me.

I'm a mom to my four beautiful (and slightly crazy) kids, as well as a wife to my husband. Besides being a mom and wife, I have a passion for paper crafting, especially card making. CAS card making. :) You can find my creations on my blog at Simply Sweet Greetings. While I love CAS cards, you'll sometimes find me creating things out of my comfort zone. It might be tough for me but I love trying new things!

To rewind some, I actually started scrapbooking (yes, scrapbooking.) back in 2003?...2004?...somewhere around that time frame. ;) Shortly after, I realized my true passion was in card making. While my first card was nowhere near what my cards are nowadays, I still instantly fell in love with it. From that point on, I never looked back. :)

I'm one of those people that just 'goes with the flow'. Not really sure where my day will take me, so I just ride it out. One day at a time. ;) Believe me, I have a planner and try to write things down and keep up on it. But I just can't always get myself to do it. lol Honestly, I have missed writing down things for weeks! lol So a little post it note (or even a piece of paper) here and there works for me. ;)
I also love to be silly and joke around, though at the same time I know how to put my foot down when I need too. ha. Though, I swear to you I'm sweet 90 percent of the time. :)

When I'm not crafting (or doing the million other things on my to do list) you'll most likely find me at the beach. One of my other passions is surfing and skim boarding. And yep. That goes for the rest of my family too. ;) If you follow me on Facebook, some of you might have seen my post about me doing the Slip n' Slide with my kids...yeah, that I do not recommend! lol I'm still sitting here sore from that.

Well, that's all for me today. I hope you enjoyed reading a little more about me and I'll be back soon! :) Thank you again Melissa for having me!

Have a great Friday and weekend!
Hugs

Congratulations

Hey y'all!
Hope all is well?!...

Today, I'm guesting at Casology! Yay! :)

Okay. 'Stencil' is the cue word. Well, let's just say I had to do some thinking on this. ;) I don't necessarily use stencils much and let alone, have very many. So I decided that I would make my own stencil from a die.

For my birthday my friend Monika sent me a card with some sweet little gifts inside. (Thank you again, Monika!) I really liked how the die looked, so I thought maybe...just, maybe...I could get it to work as a stencil for me. Which thankfully, it did. :)

I used some distress ink for my stenciling. When I got towards the edges, I just lightly blended my ink. I didn't want it to be too dark around the edges. After, I added some fun doubled stitched lines and my sentiment. Simple, yeah?!...

And let me just say, I swear to you that my sentiment is straight! lol I think by me thinking it would be fun to add doubled stitched lines slanted here and there, made things slightly off. lol At least for me it did. ;) Though, I kept it as is because I still do like it. :)

Be sure to swing on over to Casology to see all the DT cards and to join in on the fun!...Hope to see you there!

Enjoy your day!

Stop & Smell the Coffee

Hey y'all!
I'm swinging back in one more time today! :)

I'm sharing another coffee card with y'all. This time my cards for the current SugarPea Designs, Sugar Sketch # 53 Challenge.

Just a simple and sweet card. :)

Hopefully you can still see the sketch in my card?!...I decided on keeping things clean and primarily one layered except for the addition of twine and sequins/coffee bean. ;)

Lately, I've been on a coffee kick with my cards and who knows exactly why?!...lol Though, I can't complain too much because they are fun to make and my 'mojo' has been with me! :)

Thanks again for stopping by!
Happy Friday...Enjoy!

But first, coffee

Hey y'all! Happy Thursday!...It's almost Friday! :)
Hope all is well?!

Today I'm sharing a fun coffee card for the current Casology challenge. This was a fun cue card and an interesting one at the same time. ;)

So, I chose to 'tear' my washi tape.

I started with my stamping first and then did some coloring. After I added my washi tape and then my sentiment underneath it. Simple and fun, yeah?!...

Thanks for much for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with a couple posts! :)
Enjoy your day!

I recently ordered a few of the new goodies and couldn't wait to ink them up! I used the Pretty Posies set, along with the matching dies and did some simple coloring. After, I added a sentiment from the Bold Wishes set. Simple and sweet, yeah?!...

Two pink cards

Hey y'all! Happy Friday!! :)

I'm back in today to share not one but two cards with you! And both happen to be colored with pink! ;)

My first card I made for the current Casology challenge and for the current Creative with Stamps challenge.

Since the Casology cue card was move, I thought what better than a little monkey dancing?!...And with the Creative with Stamps being CAS...seems to be right up my alley, yeah?!... :)

Now, for my next card. Truly just having fun and trying new and different things. I used an older (so old, I'm not sure if you can even find it anymore?! lol) Stampendous jumbo stamp and did some coloring with it.

After I finished my coloring, I topped things off by adding some gold glitter dots and a die cut hello piece. Simple, yeah?!...

Well, that's all for today! :)
Enjoy your Friday and weekend!

Little Tangles-Anything Goes!

Hey y'all! Happy Thursday! :)
Hope all is well?!...

Today we have a brand new challenge at Little Tangles! And this time it's all about 'Anything Goes'!! How fun is that?!...Let your imagination run wild! ;)

So, here's my card.

Oooh, I had some fun making this! :)
I started with using some distress inks. Which I should say, I went from using blue inks, to scratch that, and went to pink ink. lol...You know pink is one of my favorite colors, right?! ;) Anyhow, after getting my ink 'right' I stamped my image over it and then used the matching die with it. Once having my die cut piece I snipped off the extra 'map' piece so that it could fit on my card.

Now, I was and could have just put my die cut piece on the base card...Though, I thought I needed to jazz things up a bit. lol So what better than using the new Hexastar Cover Plate?!!...Once doing that, I layered everything together on my card, added a little 'hello', some sequins, and even twine. :) So what do you think?!...

Be sure to swing on over to Little Tangles to see all the DT's cards and while you're there, I hope you'll join us?!! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Waffle Flower Challenge

Hey y'all! Happy Monday!
Hope you're off to a great start of the week?! :)

Today we have a brand new challenge at Waffle Flower Crafts!

Here's my take.

Where to start?! lol I was inspired by a number of things in the photo. From the chair, to the overall home decor, to the colors...simply, everything was appealing! ;)

Somehow I ended up with a quite simple card. I thought of the bear as a home accent piece and just added a few 'pops' of color to it. After I added it to my card, though I added a little fun pattern under my bear along with my sentiment and a little heart before adhering it. Simple, yeah?!...

Be sure to swing on over to the Waffle Flower Crafts Challenge and see all the DT projects! And while you're there, I hope you'll join us!! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Waffle Flower Crafts supplies used:

Tribal Bear stamp set
Tribal Bear die set
Tribal Thank You stamp set (for the heart and pattern under the bear)
Lacy Layers die set (I used the largest die for my base)
