Happy Spring!

Hi everyone!! I know yesterday was 'officially' the first day of spring, but 'Happy Spring' !!! I am so glad it's spring time....the weather gets warmer and warmer, the sweet smells in the air and oh, my birthday! Sounds like another busy season!! :)

So, having spring on my mind...Here is a little spring card I made!

I bought some new stamps recently and this was one of the sets I bought (Darcies-out on a limb). I just thought the set was too cute to pass up! I did add a few little spots of glitter to my tree, mainly to all the centers of the flowers. And somehow, upon stamping my tree trunk, I noticed it left the impression of being somewhat like wood (this is what I saw/think). Normally, I think it would have been solid if I pressed a little harder but I didn't want to chance that and then have it be a 'blob' of ink (I go nuts when I have to start a card all over! lol). Now, for that little birdie I did....well, let's just say "I was shaking like crazy, trying to be ever so careful cutting it out!". I have steady hands but when it comes to certain thing's, like when I'm trying not to mess something up....my nerves sometimes get the best of me. I think though, I managed to do a good job?!

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great day!! :)

My three little cards.

Greetings everyone, Happy Friday!!! Whew....What a long week for me, I'm sooooo glad it's Friday!!

So, I've been waiting for today because, it's the day that PaperCrafts Magazine was sending out emails to who's work has been chosen to be in the magazine. Well, again as usual, I tried. I waited. And waited. And waited. Then seeing that they sent all emails out....I was not one to get an email. With that being said, I get to share them with all of you!! And yes! I'll keep moving along and try, try, try again!

Here are the cards I submitted! Two of them were for the 'sketch' challange and the one was for the 'natural elements' challange.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great weekend!! :)

A lovely flower....

Greetings everyone, hope your all having a great week so far!! So, I am back to feeling normal, minus the runny/stuffy nose (allergies now are starting to act up)! Sooner or later I'll get a break from all this stuff.

Okay, so the card I share with you today, is something a worked on last night.

Now, it may be a little hard to tell in my picture?....but the vellum on top is actually textured. I stamped my flower stamp on my vellum, as well as a piece of patterned paper. For my flower on my patterned paper, I took scissors and trimmed out my flower. I then, layed my vellum on top of my cut out flower, lining it up. I wanted the flower to stand out but at the same time have it be somewhat settle. I choose no greeting, I think the flower says enough (didn't want too much going on, nor take the eyes away from the flower). This was a little different of a card for me to do, considering I don't really use vellum too much....have lots of it and I don't even know why I bought so much to begin with? Must have been a good buy/impluse at the time/etc. lol

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great day!! :)

Well, Hello!

Greetings y'all, hope your all having a great Saturday!! I am still somewhat sick, this bug just doesn't fully want to go away! At least I can actually function, as where before, I was lucky if I made it out of bed and to the sofa! lol That's how bad it was!

Okay, so I had energy yesterday, yet I felt like I had no motivation. Sounds weird, right?....I felt like doing something but then when it came time to doing, I felt like I have never made a card before. I was lost. Well, somehow I managed to whip something out?! Nothing too special but it was something....here's what I did!

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great weekend!! :)

Greetings everyone! This post I share with you is a little different than the others. I received a comment from Judy, who is another fellow blogger. She had told me she had something for me and to check out her blog. So I did. Let's just say...WOW! She had chosen me (as well as four others) to accept an award! Such a great way, to make someone smile!! :)

Liebster" is German for 'dearest.' The award is a 'share-the-love' arrangement, given to inspirational bloggers with fewer than 200 followers (based on Google followers).

Once accepted, here's what you need to do:

Here's the to-do list of any Liebster award recipient:
1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you
2. Reveal your five blogger picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog (see above)

4. Hope that those you award forward it to their favorite bloggers

Now, upon accepting this award, I need to choose 5 people I would like to receive this award as well. As hard as it seems I have found my 5, here they are (randomly):

1. Rochelle at two tears in my bucket
2. Jade at the scrap yard rose
3. Michelle at my stamping pad
4. Isha at new ideas
5. Barb at kinsale creations

I must say again, Thank you Judy!!! So, happy to have accepted :)

Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing you all soon!!!

P.S.
I have not been at my blog lately because I'm fighting some kind of nasty flu bug! Which I haven't been this sick, in quite sometime. As I sit hear today, my energy is barely here. :( Hopefully, this will be over soon....I am so tired of being sick! So, once I'm back to normal.......ahhh, well....I'm sure you'll all know when I am! :)
