A little update

Hey, everyone! I just wanted to post a quick little update.

I realize my blog has been somewhat quiet. To fill you all in, my family and I went on an emergency trip to see my Dad. My Dad had been ill for awhile and it was hard to say, how much time he would have left with us. One wish he had was to see his grand kids and we made that happen. We enjoyed a couple days with him and sadly, he passed away. I have been constantly 'going', that I don't think it's all quite sunken in, yet. My emotions are all over the place and at the same time, I'm trying to be strong.

I just wanna share a little something about my Dad. Not only was he a good man, but he was a wonderful father. We were very close, even though we lived over 3,000 miles away from one another. We would talk on a daily basis, every week. If I waited too long to call, he would call me. And by too long, I mean even a few days was too long. Something my Dad did every year and I mean every year was, he would call up on Christmas and in his best Santa voice would say "Ho, ho, hoooooo....Meeeery Christmas". He's done that since I was little and old (to him I was always his little girl, no matter how old). I certainly, will miss hearing him call. However, I told my brother he needs to pick up his duty to call on Christmas. (he has plenty of time to practice)

My Dad left behind a wonderful and amazing wife, that I am so happy to call my step-mom. As well as, her two kids. Which are just as awesome, as she is. Along with my brother and I. And of course, all the grand kids. I believe he is looking down on all of us and smiling and probably seeing just how crazy his grand kids are!

I miss my Dad tremendously and know, he will always be my Dad. I'm going one day at a time and though I'll never forget him, I'm hoping things will get a little easier for me. I know he's in a better place and free of all pain.

While I have no card to share, I certainly plan on keeping up my blog and what I love to do. I know my Dad would want me to continue with my passion. He always loved my cards. So, I will be back soon (with a card).

I thank you all for stopping by and being understanding. Enjoy your day.
