Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Special Thanks! Blog Hop!

Hey y'all! Welcome to the 'Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking' Special Thanks, blog hop!!! You should have arrived from Libby Hickson's blog.

I certainly made a card, but before I get to that, I want to share with you how Paper Crafts & Scrapbook had changed my life...(I know there's lots of hopping to do, so I'm gonna try it keep it short.)

I had always been of fan of PC&S (or just Paper Crafts, when I started reading them). Looking through the magazines always inspired me. Though, I did always question, could I be that good at this card making thing?...

At some point I finally worked up enough courage to try submitting cards. Though none ever got chosen, it never detoured me from still following my passion. Then, I saw this little not so little challenge called Stamping Royalty. Being determined, I went for it. Well, nothing. Nada. Zip. I didn't win. Though, that was okay to me. I just thought I would continue to push myself. So, the next year I went for it again. Nope. Nothing. No winner here. And again, that was okay. I still continued along. Okay, here we go again...three times a charm, right?! (and 3 is my all time number. *little fact: if you ever look closely at my cards, you'll almost always see things in groups of three with gems/etc.)

Okay, so back to being my third time trying for Stamping Royalty. Well, sit down, because I won on my third time trying!!! :) Yep. I actually won! I couldn't believe it! Talk about a happy dance! My husband had no clue what the heck just happened, let alone what I was doing! lol And the news came right before my birthday...talk about a present! :) After taking it all in, I realized that my dream was no longer a dream, but a reality.

So, then we flash forward 2 years later and seeing the Stamping Royalty contest again, I thought I'd give it go. Well...What would the chances be, that I could win Stamping Royalty twice?!...Apparently, it is possible. ;) And that my friends, is why you should never let anything stop you. Don't second guess yourself, just go for it!

Through all the ups and downs, of submitting cards over and over again, good amazing things can happen! I can honestly say, if it weren't for PC&S I wouldn't be where I am today. After all, this whole blog of mine started because of them. And they opened so many doors for me, that I would have never known!

In return I thank you, PC&S. Thank you for everything!!! You have no idea how much you have touched me...know, you will always have a soft spot in my heart. And perhaps at times, I'll have to rock those crowns!?! ;)

Wherever the road leads, enjoy your journey!

Hugs
<3

Okay, so maybe that wasn't a short post?... ;) Now, you'll want to head on over to Yoosun Hur's blog!

Thanks for stopping on by!
Enjoy!

  17. I loved reading your story, Shelly! One of the things I learned from PC&S was that just because our work is not selected does not mean it is not good enough - persistence pays off. ;-) Your card is lovely, pretty and perfect CAS.
