Teacher

Hey y'all! Happy Saturday!
Hope all is well?!...

Somehow I found some crafty time to sneak in today and to be honest, I'd need to sneak in some more!...I have some ideas brewing. ;)

Anyhow, I made this card for the current CASology Challenge.

Okay. Seriously, this card took me about 6 or 7 tries before I finally got everything to work for me!

I know, I know, it's so simple so how could it take that many tries, right?!...Well, at first I was trying a different fruit and it wasn't really working in my favor. So I moved on to another and well, that didn't work for me either. Then came the apple. I was happy with the apple. Though, upon stamping the apple I did a little masking with the leaves and ACK! I forgot to removed the tape! Yeah, real lovely what that did to my card. (catch my sarcasm there) Okay, again I started over. Only to press down my box and realized I pressed a little too hard and BOOM! Brown ink in the middle of my square! Oh I had wishful thinking at the point...I'll just cover it up with the apple. Ha! Nope. Finally, on my last attempt I got it. But then came the 'teacher' part. Could I even stamp letter for letter 'teacher' without messing it up?!...Well, happy to say I DID. Yay!...Talk about a process. lol Have you ever had cards like this?...So simple yet so hard?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your weekend and see you soon!

  4. Oh, heck, yes! Sometimes it seems like some designs just don't want to be made! But like you, I dig in my heels and make the card whether it wanted to be made or not! And I'm glad you did in this case, Shelly, because this simple card is really perfection for a teacher!!

It really is amazing that our cards work as often as they do considering we put those pesky sediments on last after all the tender, difficult labor is done! I mean, we have to do it that way cuz we don't know prezackly where the sediment will go until the focus pocus is done! Hammy and I say "Phew!" a lot! (And other words when it doesn't work, lol!) Hugs, Darnell
