a Little update and a little tag

Hey y'all!
Hope all is well?!...

*for my Little Tangles post, please scroll down.

The start of August has not been the best for my family and I. Some of you may have already heard, though on August 2nd we had to say goodbye to our cat...It's been quite the adjustment (you could say?) for us. We had our cat for over 10 years and now there's a void. My kids are taking it pretty hard, as in they grew up with her. I'm trying my best to stay strong for them, though sometimes I end up breaking down myself. Slowly we are moving forward. One things for sure, she'll never be forgotten. <3

Besides that happening, it's been crunch time for back to school stuff. I pretty much have most things done. However I'm waiting on deliveries of their stuff, which all seem to be on different days, even though I order everything at once. Just hoping everything makes it in time before school starts!

Anyhoo...
I'm swinging on in to share a little tag for the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge!

I kept my tag nice and simple.
I used CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Scallop Tags set, along with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Beanstalks stamp set (sorry it's no longer available). I simply stamped on my flowers in a brown ink. Then added a little bit of color using colored pencils. After, I stamped on my sentiment and topped my tag off with some twine. Simple, yeah?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day and see you soon!

P.S.
I sincerely want to thank you all for the hugs, love, and support through this difficult time...
Thank you. <3

  2. So sorry to hear about your kitty. We had to give our two little sweethearts to a no-kill shelter after DH had hips and knees replaced; doctor said no small critters in the house. I often think of them these many years later. Now I can smile as I recall their antics and cuddles. That will come to you, in time, as well. Your tag is lovely. I like the contrast of the bright, bold plaid behind the kraft tag, and the sentiment layered over the wheat. Very 'sweet!!' Bev

  6. Sending hugs to you and your family in the loss of your kitty. I had two miniature schnauzers, years ago, and not a day passes that I don't think of them with deep love and yes, deep missing. I understand completely your sense of loss. As for the tears: natural and needed. They'll help your heart to heal...and remember. On the plus side: your tag is charming! Colouring on kraft is so pretty!
    Hugs~c
