Just saying hello

Hey y'all!
Happy Saturday, hope all is well?!...

Things still are busy here, so just a short and sweet post today. ;)

I'm sharing a card I made for the current Altenew February Inspiration Challenge.

Really I didn't know where this card was gonna take me. But in the end, I think it works?!...Not sure if I've 'mastered' the layering of these butterfly stamps and I'm not even sure if I used all the layers for this butterfly? Though, I think you can see that it's a butterfly and with time I'm hoping to figure all the layers out. ;)

Well, that's all for me!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!

Oh, and you already know how much I looove the photo editing (catch the sarcasm, there...) well, the other day I logged in 'pic monkey' and wouldn't you know they changed things up! So, after navigating my way through things and playing around with things, I'm starting to grasp it. Though, I still can't seem to find that 'sweet spot' with editing my photos. So for now, my photos might not always look the best but please bear with me...I'm determined to get a hang of all the 'new' things. ;) Thanks!

  2. Beautiful design Shelly! I hear you on the editing thing, it can make such a difference. And it's all because I want to make cards so I have to learn how to edit photos which cuts into precious card making time lol.

  3. First: picmonkey! I find these updates SO frustrating! As far as I can tell, they didn't change anything, just moved the tools around and changed the look. It's like job security for these guys and all it does is frustrate the users. InLinkz did the same thing and it's miserable to navigate now, but I guess I'll get the hang of it. The thing I don't like about the new picmonkey is the grid lines over our photos. I find it so distracting! Okay, sorry, you hit a nerve. Good for you to hang in there and if I find any "tricks" with it, I'll let you know and you do the same!

Your card is very pretty! It looks like you mastered the butterfly layering just fine to me. You remind me that I have that set and have only used it once years ago. I adore it, so now I'm going to get it out again ... thank you, Shelly! Hugs, Darnell

  4. Oh my, just LOVE how your butterfly image resembles the floral inspiration photo, Shelly! Super clever! Even down to the black and green bits on your card.

Photo editing is my least favorite activity with blogging. Where is the magic want that will just make all the photos pretty?! Surely there's got to be a better way.
