Take 2

Okay, I'm back! And quick! ;) I have two more cards to share for today. I decided to try my hand again at watercoloring for the current Lawnscaping Challenge.

Here's what I came up with!

Okay, so this card didn't actually come together, until after I made this card below. After, making my first card, I kept looking at it. And then a thought popped into head! And that thought was 'why, not watercolor the background under the vellum'. So, I had to try it and see what would happen...I thought the end result added a nice 'pop' to my vellum scene and then I couldn't decide which one I liked better! lol So, I figure I'd just share both. ;)

Thanks for stopping by, again!
Enjoy your day!

sunshine and rainbows

Hey y'all! Happy Wednesday! Hope all is well?!...I certainly, have a busy weekend/week/month coming up! I have some family visiting this next week and then after that, I get some more family visiting! And while all that is going on, my kids (and this time all 4 of them!) will be going back to school! Yay! For Mom! lol ;) Honestly, it'll be nice to have a break. Though, I'm certain I'm gonna miss them like crazy! Not sure what I'll do with all my free time!?!...

Okay, so today I'm sharing a card a made for the current Casology challenge.

Here's my take on it!

I've been seeing felt used 'here and there' for awhile and finally, decided that I really needed some! ;) So, what better than to make a felt rainbow?!...I chose some lighter colors for my rainbow and I did a little stenciling in the background, for a couple clouds. Hopefully, you can see them? I was gonna leave my card with just the felt rainbow and sentiment. But then, thought 'sequins!' and added some. :) So, what do you think?!...

Just for fun

Hey y'all! Happy Saturday! Hope you're enjoying the weekend so far?!...I've been having some fun today. :)

Late last night, I got out my Waffle Flower stamps and tried to create some stuff. It wasn't happening. lol So today, I tried again. And wouldn't you know I ended up with not one, but two cards!!! Yay! :)

For both cards I used the 'Bowtiful' and 'Flower Circles' stamp sets. So, what do you think?!...

Oh HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY Day

Hey y'all! Happy Thursday! Just swinging on in to share a card I made for the current Lawnscaping challenge! Yep. I'm playing along again! ;) And this time it's all about watercolor!

So, here's my take!

Lately, I've been watercoloring right and left! So, this was fitting! ;) However, this card took me many, many, many takes, to get to this! And you know why?...Watercolor shouldn't be hard, and really it's not. Though, for some apparent reason, it was. First, my crafty mojo decided it was a good time to leave. So I was dealing with that. Second, every time I got out my watercolors, things just fell apart. Spilled water everywhere (which I was trying NOT to do that and let's not even ask how one does that). Then had different brushes lined up, only to forget what color I used for which brush (that made another mess). After all this, I figure I better just call it quits. So, I slept on it. I actually had a dream of a card (yes, I have dreams about cards). Though, only to forget what I saw!...So, really no help. You see how this is turning out?...lol ;)

Well, needless to say, I finally came up with something. Though, I'm not sure if I'm totally lovin' it?!...So, I probably will have to play around some more!? ;) What are thoughts about it?...And yeah, for some reason I seem to stick with the blues/greens/yellows...maybe because of summer, I don't really know?...Think I may have to try some new colors! ;)

Thanks for stopping by! See y'all soon!
Enjoy your day!

love

Hey y'all! Happy Wednesday! Already the middle of the week. can you believe it!?!...Okay, so I'm stopping in to share a card for the current Poppy Sketches challenge! How can one resist playing, when it says 'Glittery Gold'?!! ;)

So, here's what I came up with!

Really, stuck true to the sketch. I decided to make a little faux pocket, and added little stitching using one of the stamps from the 'Bowtiful' set from WaffleFlower. The hearts were from the same set, too. Then I decided for my glittery gold, to use a 'love' die and sponge it up with Brillance Galaxy Gold ink. And to top everything off, added a little bit of twine with a glittery gold in it. :) So, what do you think?!...

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see y'all soon!

'Merry' Monday

Hey y'all! Happy Monday...It's time for another Merry Monday challenge! And this time it's all about using ribbon and a button(s).

So, here's what I came up with!

Yep. I actually made a little shaker card! Really, I was just playing around, having fun and somehow managed to create a shaker. I added some light snowflakes for the background and a '25'. I filled my shaker with some sequins and a button. Cute, yeah?...

So, are you ready to play along?!...Be sure to swing on over to Merry Monday and see all the DT creations! Hope to see you there! :)

Celebrating YOU today

Hey y'all! Hope all is well?!...I'm just swinging on in today, to share a card I made for the current Less is More challenge! 'Adapt a fingerprint'.

Ooooh, when I saw what the challenge was, I actually was a little hesitant about it. I mean, using a 'fingerprint' in your creation...that's a tricky one! ;) However, I played and played and had ink all over me!...Can't tell you how black my finger was! lol But wouldn't know, my idea worked and I'm actually lovin' it! And my fingerprint is on it! Let me know what you think?!!...

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Enjoy your day!

Another happy 'Merry' Monday!

Hey y'all! It's time for another Merry Monday challenge! Ooooh, it's another fun one!...

Sequins?!!...Yes, please! :)

Okay, so keeping things fairly simple. I used a couple circle dies to get my wreath, which I used kraft cardstock for one and then burlap for another. Then adhered my burlap wreath to the kraft wreath. After I used little clusters of red sequins (I was thinking berries), then added a little gold sequin on top of the clusters. I did play around with what sentiment to use...that really was boggling my mind! So, I ended up taking a piece of chipboard and using a sticker with it. Sooooo, what do you think?!...

I hope you'll come play with us?!!...Don't forget to swing by Merry Monday to see all the DT creations! :)

Fox

Hey y'all! Okay, one more quick Saturday post! ;) This time, my card was made purely for fun and experimenting. Remember my post, about how I was inspired by Virginia's technique used?...(If not, you can check it out here) Well, I made another card and this time actually used alcohol inks. ;)

Check it out!

Granted, it's nowhere near as detailed as Virginia's card, though it I like to consider it to be 'simplified'. ;) So, what you think?!...

Thanks again for swinging on by! See y'all soon!
Enjoy!

Hello-Happy Saturday!

Hey y'all! Hope you're enjoying this beautiful Saturday!?!...Just a quick little post for me, today! I'm sharing a card I made for the current Poppy Sketches challenge. And another fun one, it is! ;)

So, here's my take on it!

Once again, I went with watercolor! I'm sure lovin' it more and more! ;) And I recently bought a nice little set of watercolors, so that could be as into one reason why!?!...lol ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor-hello

Hey y'all! Happy Wednesday, hope all is well?!...Today, I'm sharing a card I made for the current Lawnscaping challenge! Yep. You read that right! I haven't played with the Lawnscaping challenges in a looong time...So, it was time to change that! ;)

Here's what I came up with!

Really love these colors! So fun! And I decided to play with some watercolors! After seeing Virginia's technique used, I knew I needed to play around more (boy, she sure knows how to inspire one!). Now, she used alcohol inks, but it got me thinking 'why not do it with watercolors'?...So, I essentially did the same thing, though used different brush sizes and just went off of where I want to place things. All in all, I really love the look! And granted my card is nowhere near as beautiful as what Virginia's is, I still do love it! ;) What do you think?!...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

ZIPNBY...

Hey y'all! Happy Tuesday! :) Today, I'm sharing a card for the current Virginia's View challenge! And it's all about 'die cuts'!

Here's what I came up with!

Okay, so lately I've been lovin' this whole 'inlaid' die cutting stuff! Not sure why it took me awhile before I played around with it, but it sure is fun! ;) So, for this card, I whipped out some dies I don't or haven't really used before. I really, didn't know the direction I was going with this...though, I just kept playing around with things. Eventually, ending up with my card. :) So...What do you think?!...And hopefully, you can see my very light, little 'puffs of smoke' coming out from behind the scooter?!...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Well, hello friends! Happy Monday! Yaaay! I'm so excited and honored that Lesley asked me! Thank you so much, Lesley! :)

So, here's my card!

At first, I said 'oh boy, what did I get myself into?!?' lol I really have to admit, no matter how many Christmas cards I make, I always seem to struggle coming up with something! I'm not sure what it is?...Though, it is somewhat the same when I try and make masculine cards. Tough. ;) Anyhow, I did manage and I hope you all enjoy it?!!...

If you haven't checked out the challenge at Merry Monday, you really should! ;) It's never too early to make a Christmas card, right?!!...After all, what's the saying 'Christmas in July'!?! lol ;) Thanks sooo much for stopping by and be sure to swing on over to Merry Monday and see all the DT creations!!!

One layer

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! Today, is another new CAS on Sunday challenge! And this time it's all about 'one layer' cards. Most of you know, this suits me quite well. ;)

So, here's what I came up with!

I did some thinking and well, as you can see I went with the whole 'cloud' theme again! lol I really love me some clouds! ;) After stamping my cloud, I did a little masking and stamped my sun to peek out from behind it. Then, added my sentiment and a little heart. Simple and sweet, yeah?!?...

I hope you're ready to play with us?!!...If so, you have a wonderful chance at being our Guest Designer for our next challenge! How cool is that!?! :)

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday to see all the DT creations and all the info you need! Hope to see you there!

Relax

Hello, friends! Happy Friday and Happy Independence Day!!! :) I'm sure many of you have celebrations happening today/tonight!?!...May each of you enjoy them!

Today, also marks a new challenge at The SRM Challenge blog! And we've changed things up, just a tad bit! ;) We now have 4 different challenges you can choose from! You can play along with just one or you can play with all 4...It's up to you! Check it out!

How fun are these challenges!?!...So, for me I chose to use the flip flops as inspiration. I saw the colors and loved them. Though, I was quite lost at first on what to do. Then, after some trail and error, I ended up with this!

Okay, so I stuck with the colors. I knew I wanted to use some grey, but honest didn't have much of the 'grey' I was thinking of. Then, a light bulb went off and I used a silver doily! I thought that was a nice bold touch and worked well!?!...Now, I was gonna use some kind of pink flowers, but was having trouble putting all that together. Then, another light bulb went off and a pink umbrella is what I got from it! Thinking, okay an umbrella can fit in with flip flops, right?!...You go to the beach or maybe even a pool and you wear flip flops and may sit under an umbrella, yeah. That works with the inspiration photo, right?!...I threw in some clear sequins and to top it off, I used a wood veneer banner for the sentiment. Thought, that added nicely due to the photo have a brown background. So, what do think?!...

I hope you'll join us at The SRM Challenge!?!...Be sure to swing on over and see all the fabulous Guest Designer and DT creations!!! And you'll see what's up for grabs...Fun stuff, I tell ya! ;)

Thanks for stopping by!
And again, Happy 4th of July!!! Enjoy!
