Soooo, this is somewhat far from my normal style, yeah?...I actually think it came out quite cute?!...Really hard for me to say, as in I don't always work with many layers (and colors for that matter! lol). Let me know what you think!?!...

Today, we have a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday. And this time we're all about using 'White with one other color'. Fun, right?! ;)

Here's my card.

So yeah, I chose blue for my color. And if you know me, you know that's somewhat rare for me because I'm such a 'pink/somewhat close to pink/red' kind of gal. ;) Though, I am lovin' the blue with the white! And did you see that I did some heat embossing again?!...Say, what!?!...lol Oh, and my watercolor...I used a watercolor pencil, which I'm lovin' as well. ;) Overall, a pretty simple card. So, let me you know what you think!?

I saw the hint of 'seaweed' in Monika's card and the first thing that popped in my mind was the 'Scandinavian Flowers' set (designed by Miriam) from Neat & Tangled. Though, no seaweed here, just flowers. ;)

So, the challenges I'm playing with are: Virginia's View challenge, which is layers/dimensions and Little Tangles challenge, which is sequins. Fun, right?!...

Think pretty thoughts

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! :)

This week for some reason has been exhausting for me! Not sure if there's just a lot going on or I'm extra tired?...and today marks 2 yrs since my Dad passed away...I may not know, but I'm pulling myself through it. Or at least trying to.

Anyhow, I do have a card to share! Yay! ;)

Yeah, this may not be the best photo...I'm working with limited light AND I'm playing more with my settings on my camera AND I got a lightbox (which I'm completely clueless on. lol) so, please bare with me. I don't think it's horrible, but could be better. Hopefully, next time will be. ;)

When I saw that little unicorn set, I knew I had to have it! Super cute, yeah?!...

That's all for today. I think may try to actually take a nap...! (gasp!) Well, just a short cat nap/power nap/whatever you wanna call it, because I do have to get my kids soon. ;)

Hey y'all! Happy Monday!

Today, we start a brand new challenge at the Waffle Flower Challenge!

Don't you just love the inspiration photo?!...

Here's what I came up with.

I was drawn to the half butterfly wing. So, I wanted to try and replicate it, somehow. After some thinking and trail and error. I finally had it. I used the 'with love' die on a scrap piece of cardstock and basically made a stencil with it. I just kept place the 'with love' die where I wanted it. Then once done, I placed it over my card base and sponged on my colors. After, I removed my 'stencil' and then stamped on my 'with love' using black ink. To finish things off, I added some twine and a little circle heart piece. So, what do you think?!...

Today, we have a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday! And this time it's all about 'gold'! How fun is that?!...


Here's my card.

So, hopefully you can tell my stump is gold?!...I did some watercoloring for my background. Then did some heat embossing for my stump. To finish things off, I added a few sequins and some twine. I chose not to have a sentiment on my card. Originally, I did have one. Though after taking a photo, I thought it seemed out of place. So, I took it off and thought having leaving it blank, it could be a good 'anytime/anyone' type of card?...Let me know what you think?! ;)

Hey y'all! I'm quickly swinging back in to share another card with you! :)

I saw the current Little Tangles Challenge and couldn't resist not playing along! No doubt, there's plenty of time to join, but I was excited! Not just for the challenge, but I actually made a FULL SIZE shaker card!!! Say, what?!!...lol Who is this 'Shelly'?...

I've made mini shakers, a faux shaker, and sprinkled some sequins here and there and now officially a full size shaker card!

Can we all say "WOW"! lol Seriously though, I had such fun making this card! I really didn't even know if I could pull it off. I certainly know how they're made, but wasn't so sure if my full size shaker would even look good. I see so many beautiful shakers that inspire me, yet I never really try to just 'go for it'. When seeing 'sequins' as the theme, I figure this time I'd go all or nothing. ;)

Please let me know what you think!?!...One things for sure, I'm going to try my hand at another full size shaker, in the near future. ;)

We have a brand new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays! And this time we're all about...

So, here's my card.

Is that a kraft card base?!! lol Why I haven't used kraft in a looong time, I do not know.?. But, I'm sure you'll see more of it because I have to use it up right?!...

Keeping things simple, I did some masking for my sentiment. I used a nice 'aqua' color ink and stamped my sentiment at an angle. After, I used CAS-ual Fridays petal die with some pattern paper. Then, using twine, I stitched on my flowers to my card. Simple, yeah?!...
