Just living is not enough...

Hey y'all!
Hope all is well?!...

Today, I'm stopping in with a somewhat different kind of post. I was recently contacted by Heather Von St. James, asking if I could help her out by spreading 'hope' for the holiday season. So, of course I said yes!

You see, Heather is a 10 year survivor of Mesothelioma!...You go girl!!

Heather and her family!
Sharing a glimpse of her story...She found out in 2005 about having Melignant Pleural Mesothelioma. And without treatment was only given 15 months to live and with treatment given about 5 years. Now flash forward 10 years, yes 10 and she's still here and stronger than ever, I'm sure! Truly amazing...If you'd like to know more about Heather, please click on her story.
I don't think we always hear much about Mesothelioma or that we hear the word Mesothelioma but don't really know exactly what it is?...To read/learn more about it, you can click here

So, with all that being said and Heather wanting to spread hope for the holidays and year round. I made a card to share with you all.

I was honestly going to go with a 'hope' card, one that actually had the word hope somewhere on it. But then, I came across some stamps that I have barely, if at all, have used. And when I saw the quote "Just living is not enough...one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower."from -Hans Christian Anderson, I thought it was more than perfect.

I think we all can use hope in our lives and with that being said, I'd like to send this card along with a little gift of 'hope' to someone! All you need to do is leave a comment and I'll randomly pick a winner...I'll leave the comments open until Jan. 8th 12:00pm EST and announce the winner on Jan. 10th.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Hope all is well?!...Long time no see, yeah?! lol Well, I made it through the holiday and I hope you did too!?! ;)

Anyhow, I'm just swinging in with a quick post to share a 'just for fun' card.

*I know I haven't been around lately commenting, but I'll be back more shortly! ;) I still have not received my laptop back from it getting fixed, let alone a confirmation that they even received it!...That has me a little worried, so today I will be trying to contact them and see what's going on. Hopefully, it's not lost!! Would hate to have to buy a new one, considering the one I bought isn't even a year old! Ugh...crossing my fingers...*

Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers blog hop!

Hey y'all!
It's here, it's here!...That is, the Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!! :)

I think normally I would have already had my card up, but this time 'round I was somewhat procrastinating...lol...oh, the holidays, right?!... ;)

About this card. I was literally lost on making something!! I mean, I have only a handful of 'coffee/tea/cocoa' stamp sets and dies. Which, I did buy a new coffee theme set buuut I told my husband to wrap it up for a Christmas gift! lol (I do that kind of stuff every.single.year. lol) Anyhow, being limited on things, I honestly didn't think I was gonna pull anything off! Until...

Ta-da!! A winter/holiday card!!
Now whether this is a cup of coffee, cocoa, or tea, that can be up to you! ;) I just had some fun making this! And see that gold glitter?!...I'd like to thank Amy for getting me into that! lol You see, she has been adding hints of glitter to her cards lately and well, it just looks awesome! So, I had to jump on board with her! Thank you, Amy! ;)

Anyhow, I kept things fairly simple with just some die cutting, stamping, and a tiny bit of fussy cutting! And I mixed up three stamp sets to make my card...Mama Elephant, CAS-ual Fridays, and Lawn Fawn. Not too shabby, yeah?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by! And be sure to check out the Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!...There is always so much inspiration and fun to found!! :)

Enjoy your day and weekend!

Happy Mother's Day (you read that right! lol)

Hey y'all!
Hope all is well?!...We're getting closer and closer to it being Christmas!! :)

*This is my second post for the day. If you're looking for my AJVD post, please scroll down.*

So, you'd think I'd have a Christmas card or some kind of festive holiday card to share. Though, shockingly today I don't. Nope. I have a Happy Mother's Day tag to share! lol Yeah, I'm flying by all the other holidays and going straight to Mother's day! lol

Here's the thing, I saw the current Little Tangles Challenge and got to thinking. I have plenty of Neat & Tangled stamps and dies, but not one tag stamp/die?!...Say what?!!...(Yeah, I'll have to change that!) ;) So, I started looking at the stamps and dies I do have and when I saw the Gardenia Blooms die, the light bulb went off!

Yep. Why not a Mother's day tag made from the Gardenia Blooms die?!...Now, I sooo was going to make a 'shaker tag' with it. However, I then had an idea come to me, if I could somehow do a stained glass type of thing with it?...By all means, I don't think it really looks like stained glass or perhaps it does?...Though, it's something all play around with more.

To achieve my 'look', I used a piece of acetate along with a couple spectrum noir markers. I used the chisel tip of the marker and just added color here and there. Once I was done, I turned the 'colored' side over and adhered it to a piece of white cardstock. After, I added my Gardenia die cut on top. So, what do you think?!...

Have you every tried this or anything similar?...I'd love to know!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

always love you

Hey y'all!
Hope your weeks starting off good?!...Time just keeps flying on by, doesn't it?!!

Today I'm up on A Jillian Vance Design blog! Here's a little peek at my card.

Stamp Layering

Hey y'all! Happy Monday!

Today, we have a brand new Waffle Flower Challenge!! And what a FUN one it is (well, they're all fun, but this one can go sooo many ways)! ;)

Okay, so stamp layering!...I'll admit, at first I was trying to think what exactly is stamp layering?...Then upon asking for some help with what it is exactly, I found it can be pretty much anything you consider to be stamp laying! Ink over ink, ink slightly over ink, two or more colors of the same family, etc.etc.etc. FUN, right?!...This I can do! ;)

So, here's my card.

I decided to go with a fun and clean Christmas card! I used three different color blue inks and 'layered' my little stars slightly over one another. After I added my sentiment and some teeny tiny silver stars. Simple, right?!!...

Be sure to swing on over to the Waffle Flower Challenge and see all the DT creations!! And while you're there, I hope you'll join us?!! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Happy Holidays

Hey y'all!! Happy Sunday, hope all is well?!...

Today, we have a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday which is all about 'stars'! And it also happens to be our last challenge of the year! With that being said, the challenge will return in the new year, though after some thinking I have decided to step down from the DT.

*Thank you, Janneke for everything!! I can't wait to see what's in store for CAS on Sunday! Hopefully, I'll even get the chance to play along from time to time. ;) Best wishes for you in the new year! And to my fellow team members, y'all are amazing!! I'll be sure to visit! Best wishes in the new year!*

Okay, on to my card.

I just love that 'Sketchy Christmas' set! So of course I had to use it again! ;) Keeping everything simple, I stamped on my tree and sentiment. Once done, I added my wood veneer stars and some white twine. Easy peasy, right?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations!! And while you're there, I hope you'll join us?!! :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Dancing in the snow

Hey y'all! Happy Friday!!
And wait...December already?!!...Seriously, where is the time going?!! I know I've been MIA for a bit, please know all is well and it's just been extra busy the past little bit. Though, I feel like things are getting back on track! ;)

With that being said...
We have a new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge today and this time it's all about 'snowflakes'! And I sure hope you'll join us because it's our last challenge!! You see what I'm saying?!...Where does the time go?!! lol

*Thank you, Michele for giving me such an amazing opportunity!! I truly loved every bit of it! You totally ROCK! And I wish you nothing but the best!! <3*

While we may not get snow in Florida, I certainly love to see it in pictures and whatnot. And who doesn't remember cutting snowflakes out of paper?!...Though, I tried that recently with my kids and sadly, it wasn't working at all for me! lol At least my kids knew what to do. ;)

Anyhow, when cutting snowflakes out of paper doesn't work, best turn to snowflake dies, right?!...

So I kept things pretty simple. I used CAS-ual Fridays Flurry dies with some glitter paper. I also used the dies with white cardstock, so I could adhere my glitter snowflake on top to make it a little more 'durable'. After, I layered my snowflakes on my card. Then added my banner with sentiment and to top things off, added some clear sequins. Simple, yeah?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS-ual Fridays and see all the DT creations! And while you're there, I hope you'll join in on the fun?!...Hope to see you there! :)

I'm also entering my card in the current (and last) challenge at Virginia's View Challenge! Which
happens to be all about 'glitter'! ;)

*Virginia, thank you so much for such an awesome challenge blog!! I enjoyed every single challenge and I'm happy to say, I actually didn't ever miss one! lol Thank you again and wish you nothing but the best!! <3*

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!
