Butterfly...

Hey everyone! Hope your all having a great week so far?!! It's been a minute since my last post, I've been running around all over the place (not just inside my home, either lol)!

So for my post today, I share with you a card I made last night. I wasn't planning on actually making a card, I was playing around with some of my supplies and all of a sudden....I was making a card! :)

I had a piece of scalloped chipboard, which I took some tissue paper (crumpled it up and then uncrumpled it). I placed some Mod Podge in Matte on my chipboard piece, using a foam brush. Then added my crumpled tissue paper on top, pressing down and working my fingers towards the edges of the circle. I added a second coat of tissue paper on top of my first one (doing the same steps again). After drying, I used some red wire I had and wrapped in around my chipboard a couple times and then curled the two ends. For my butterfly, I used an older clear stamp set I had and stamped it on gold paper (cut it out). I then added some clear rhinestones, put some foam squares on the back and adhered it to my piece of chipboard. I took a white piece of cardstock and inked it up some and then attached my 'piece' to the center.
I usually put some kind of greeting on the front of my cards but I left this one blank. I didn't want to take away from my creation. I think it worked out great?!
Thank you for stopping by today! =)

Cas-ual Fridays Challenge

Hey everyone!

So, this is a card I made for the Cas-ual Fridays Challenge! I actually saw what the challenge was on Friday and knew I could come up with something...which, I did that same night but took me this long to post it because of everything I had going on! Oh, that's bad! lol :)

The challenge is, to use only black and white...NO COLORS at all! Simple enough, right?! Ha. It really took me a minute to figure out what to do. I usually always want a 'pop' of color somewhere!! So, I think I did a pretty good job...what do you think?!

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great day! :)

ReJected!!

Hey everyone! Hope your all doing good!! Well, this post is a little different from my others. The cards I share with you, all were not accepted to be in the issue of PaperCrafts Magazine. Now, as bummed out as I am, I'm sure it was even harder for them to do the choosing! I'm not sure if I'd be able to do that kind of job! With so many talented crafters out there....that has to be TOUGH!! On the plus side of everything, there's another open call for submissions! So, I shall go for that and if I don't place again...well then, I'll try again!! I'm not one to give up!! :)

Okay, so here are my cards!! Please enjoy :)

This was for the 'marker' catagory.
This one too, was for the 'marker' catagory.
This one was for the 'paint' catagory.
Last but not least, this was for the 'back to school' catagory.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the week!! Afterall, tomorrow is Friday!! :)

Some more 'Love'....

Hey everyone! Hope your all having a great week so far!!

This card I share with you today, is something that actually came to me as I was working on another card. As for the first card I was working on, I never even finished it! I just kept going with this other card that kept coming in my mind!

I think my card ended up turning out quite well?!! My heart, is from an older stamp set I bought. Which I love so much, I knew I had to use it somehow! Believe it or not, I never even used it until the other day...all those years!!! :) My paper with the foil on it, was from a 12x12 sheet I had in my stash and just decided to cut it down to the size I needed. The 'Love' in my heart, I wrote by hand using a white gel pen. I added a couple rhinestones at each end.

Overall it was a pretty exciting card to do, just because I was totally working off 'idea after idea' what was coming to me in my head!! Guess that's CREATIVITY?!! :)

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!! :)

P.S.
I put two photo's of my card on this post because I really couldn't decide which one looked better?....

A 'Thank You' card.

Hey you all, this is my third post of the day!!! That's a lot for me in one day but I hope you all enjoyed them! :)

This card can actually be a Thank You/Thinking of You/etc...however I decided on Thank You. I think I kept it simple yet I think it has a nice 'fancy' touch to it?!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll have some more cards soon!! :)

Forever

Hey again! My second post in one day...Woohoo!! So again, staying with my 'Love and Pinks'...This is my card!

Kept it real simple, though my heart was time consuming. Wrapping all that floss around that heart was something else! I had an idea in my head and went with it, not thinking of how long it would take me to do it!! But in the end, it was worth it to me! :)

Thanks again for stopping by!! :)

Love is in the air...

Hey everyone, Happy Friday!! Anyone else besides me, happy the weekend's here?! Sure felt like a long week for me, though my husband was on vacation from work. It was great having him home everyday with me and the kids, but it REALLY is time for him to go back to work!! lol ;)

Anyways, I share with you today a Valentine card!! I just have Love, Pinks/Reds, etc. on my mind! I also, can't seem to stay away from picking up some of those 1$ stamps!!! That is what I used for this card...a little 1$ stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great weekend!!

Baby Love

Hey everyone! I hope your all having a great week so far!! So, my card I share with you today, is 'Baby Love'. I made this card for my neighbors daughter, who just had a baby.

I kept it simple, yet had some fun with it! :) I stamped on my stamp using Jenni Bowlin-No.9 Spice Tin. Since I used a clear stamp, this gave it a worn out/weathered look to me (I liked it). Around the edge of the card, I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in weathered wood. I thought it matched perfectly. :) My 'baby love' stamp, was a old Leisure Arts 'Memories in the Making' stamp. I've had it for years now and I never think of using the thing...until yesterday, when I was re-organizing my stuff and found it, along with many other things! :)

I hope you enjoyed my card I've shared with you and Thank You for stopping by! :) .

Happy New Year!

Greetings everyone! I hope you all had a great time ringing in the New Year! As for me, I fell asleep before midnight and didn't wake back up until after everything. Though life goes on. :)

So, the card I share with you today, was going to be for a submission. Though after CAREFULLY reading the directions again, I decided it was really quite what it should have been. That being said...here it is!

And why I chose '21', I don't really know?...I'm know where near that age anymore, not even close! lol Maybe I was daydreaming about when I was 21?...Anyway's you can easily change the age to any number.

The stamp I used was just one of the little 1$ stamps you can buy at almost any craft store. The number and black dots, are just from using a black marker. And the tiles, were some mosaics from crystal stickers by mark richards. Happened to stummble upon those and thought they were cool looking. Figured I could use them in some kind of way.

Thank you for stopping by today .
