A simple yet beautiful Spring card

Hello, hello!
Hope all is well?!...

Today, I'm sharing another card I designed for Not 2 Shabby and using the new Bunnies in Bloom bundle! If you haven't checked out the bundle/products, you'll want to be sure to check things because once they sell out, they're gone, so don't wait too long. ;) (As of now, the bundle is sold out but you still can get the papers and ephemera and that's all I used on my card for today! :))

Here's my card...

I promise you this card is so simple to make yet it's beautiful right?!...I've included all the steps below so you can make this card as well and/or put your twist on things. ;)

Let's make this card!

  • Choose some patterned papers from the Bunnies in Bloom paper pad and ephemera. (you'll see I chose a couple different flower pieces because I wasn't sure which one I was going to use.)
  • Cut the two pieces of patterned paper to a size of 3 1/2" x 5".
  • Adhere the two pieces together, slightly angled.
  • Set aside.
  • Using the flower ephemera piece adhere the butterfly to it.
  • Add foam tape on the back of the ephemera.
  • Adhere to the papers from above.
  • Add paint splatters using a black paint marker (or black watercolor with a slightly damp paintbrush).
  • Set aside and let dry.
  • Using the solid color sheet of patterned paper from before (above), cut a strip the size of 3 5/8" x 1".
  • Set aside.
  • **note: I decided while in the process of making things to add an additional layer of kraft cardstock under the already adhered layers. Cut the kraft cardstock to the same size as above and adhere at a slight angle, just so it peeks out a tiny bit.**
  • Take an A2 white card base and adhere the layered papers with ephemera from above onto the card base.
  • Take the solid color cut strip and add foam tape to the back, wrap some burlap twine around the strip, tie in a bow and add to the card.
  • Adhere/add sparkling enamel dots.

Well, that's all for me. I hope I inspired you, today!

Don't forget too, the February Not 2 Shabby Monthly Mood Board Challenge is in full swing. It's so easy to play along and you even have a chance at winning a $15 gift certificate to the Not 2 Shabby Shop! Fun, right?!...I hope you'll play along?!...Join HERE

Not 2 Shabby new release!

Hello, hello!
Happy Sunday! :)

It's a fun day, today! Not only is this my official first post with the Not 2 Shabby Design Team but it's also release day!! Yay!! :) To celebrate the release, we have a fun Instagram hop going on! (details below)

I'm sharing this cute card...

Isn't that little bunny the cutest?!...I had so much fun making this card! :) If you'd like to make this card too, I have all the steps below with photos to go with. I promise you it's simple and I'd love to see you even make things and put your own twist on it. ;)

Let's make this card!

  • Start with a piece of marker friendly white cardstock and stamp on the bunny image using black ink.
  • Color images using alcohol markers, add shading/depth using a black and/or darker colored pencil.
  • Add highlights using a white gel pen (or paint pen).
  • Fussy cut image.
  • Take the EZ Wonder Die #2 and use it with three different patterned papers. (you want only the stitched rectangle piece cut)
  • Add die cut rectangle pieces to a piece of cardstock, stacking them and alternating them.
  • Cut the edges slightly smaller than an A2 card base.
  • Choose a piece of ephemera to go with the bunny image and papers.
  • Using an A2 cardbase in white, adhere a piece of lightly colored cardstock to the base. (in this case, I used a 'soft stone' light grey cardstock.)
  • Adhere the panel with the 'stacked' rectangles to the card.
  • Set aside.
  • Use a sentiment from the stamp set (in this case, hello spring) and stamp onto white cardstock using black ink.
  • Die cut sentiment using the sentiments die.
  • Set aside.
  • Take the card and add on the ephemera and the bunny (use foam tape on the back of the bunny).
  • Adhere on sentiment using foam tape on the back.
  • Add a bow to the sentiment using burlap twine.
  • Adhere sparkling enamel dots.

Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge-Feb

Hello, hello!
Happy Feb. 1st!

Today, a new challenge starts at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog! If you haven't played along with any of the challenges, be sure to check things out. It's so easy to play along and there's even a chance at winning a prize! ;)

Here's my card...

I had some fun with this card, just some die cutting and a small touch of stamping. Nothing more. After die cutting everything and assembling the cup of cocoa, I knew I wanted some kind of background for things. After some thinking and trying a few different things, I ended up using a card front. Anyone else use card fronts?...they make for a quick and easy card. ;) Then I stamped on a little sentiment and added my assembled cup to the card. Easy peasy, right?!...

That's all for me. Hope I've inspired you today and hope to see you at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

A simple and sweet card

Hello, hello!
Hope all is well! :)

Today, I'm sharing a 'just for fun' card and trying to use all the goodies I have sitting on my desk (lol). No challenges, no design teams, just fun and anything goes!

Without further ado, here is my card...

Sweet, right?!...and there's no stamping!...say what?! (lol) I guess because I have so many paper pads and ephemera staring at me right now, I better put them to use. (lol) I simply layered things together and that's pretty much it. Easy peasy, right?!...

That's all for me. Just a short and sweet post, today.

Books, coffee, and a view...

Hello, hello!
Hope all is well! :)

I'm swinging in today to share a 'just for fun' card' using some Not 2 Shabby goodies. I was looking at the current Not 2 Shabby January Monthly Mood Board Challenge and got inspired by the rain and calmness. Don't you just love the sound of rain?...

If you haven't joined in on the fun at Not 2 Shabby's Monthly Mood Board Challenge, you definitely should! It's super easy to play along and if you don't have any Not 2 Shabby goodies, that's okay, you can still play along! You also have a chance at winning a $15 gift certificate to the Not 2 Shabby Shop!! How fun is that?!!...I hope to see you there! :)

Here's my card...

Can you believe it, no stamping?!...I only used a card front, papers, and ephemera. Then layered things together. It was that easy! Well, I did have to think about where and how I was going to use/put things but it came together fairly quickly. And we all love things that can come together quickly, right?!...

Can you spot the card front that I used?...*hint: It's quite the view. ;)

Well, that's all for me. Hope to see you at the Not 2 Shabby January Monthly Mood Board Challenge, you can find more details about the challenge HERE.
