Lovely Day

Hello, hello!
Happy Tuesday!

Today, I'm sharing another card using Teresa's One & Done stamp set from Not 2 Shabby! This stamp set is so fun and I wanted to show that whether you have Teresa's One & Done Sentiments die or not, you can most certainly still use her stamp set. :)

Here's my card...

I kept things nice and simple. And do you see how I used her stamp set?...I did NOT cut things apart. LOL Just some simple 'masking'. ;)

Here's how to make things.
  • Start with marker friendly white cardstock/paper and stamp on the image using black ink.
  • Color the image using alcohol markers.
  • Add highlights using a white gel pen (or white paint pen).
  • Add paint splatters in a somewhat dark pink color.
  • Using Teresa's One & Done Stamp set, mask off the sentiments that are not wanting to be used. *note: post it notes work good for this or anything that can cover things and be removed easily.
  • Ink sentiment using black ink and then remove the masks.
  • Stamp sentiment onto card. *note: you may have to repeat the previous two steps to be sure your sentiment is stamped fully.
  • Add the card panel to a white A2 card base.

Easy peasy, right?!...I hope I was able to inspire you today?! :)
You can find Teresa's One & Done Stamp as well as her die in the Not 2 Shabby shop, links below.

Also, don't forget about the Not 2 Shabby Monthly Mood Board Challenge! It's in full swing and so easy to play along! Just create a card with what inspired you from the mood board and/or colors and enter your card. Don't have any Not 2 Shabby goodies?...That's okay, you can still play along! There's even a chance at winning a $15 gift certificate to the Not 2 Shabby Shop!! Hope to see you there!! :)

Not 2 Shabby and Teresa's One & Done Sentiment Stamp Set Release!

Hi y'all!
Happy Monday!

It's an exciting day today as it's the release of Teresa's One & Done Sentiments Stamp Set from Not 2 Shabby!! Yay!! This set is amazing for stamping out all the sentiments at one time! And when you pair it with Teresa's One & Done Sentiments Die, you'll have the perfect sentiment banners!

Here's my card...

Sweet, right?!...Let's make this card together!

  • Start with choosing a couple pieces of patterned paper.
  • Cut the patterned paper for the 'background' to be roughly 4" x 5 1/4".
  • Cut the patterned paper for the strip to be roughly 4" x 1 1/2".
  • Choose some ephemera pieces, 4 good size pieces.
  • After choosing, set aside.
  • Take the two pieces of cut patterned paper from above and adhere the strip of patterned paper across the 'background/bigger' piece of patterned paper.
  • Adhere the ephemera pieces onto the strip of patterned paper. *Tip: before adhering things down, play with things to see where you exactly want things to be at.
  • Then set aside.
  • Using Teresa's NEW One & Done A Little Sunshine stamp set, stamp the sentiments onto white cardstock using black ink.
  • Using Teresa's One & Done Sentiments die, die cut the stamped sentiments.
  • Choose a sentiment to use with the card.
  • Then set aside.
  • Using a piece of red cardstock, cut a small piece to be used a little tab at the top of the patterned paper/ephemera panel. *Tip: Scrap paper works great for this, as in you don't need much.
  • Adhere the little piece of red cardstock to the top of the paper.
  • Add the patterned paper/ephemera panel to a white card base using foam tape. **note: before adhering with the foam tape, add some burlap twine around the panel.
  • Adhere the sentiment piece above the burlap twine.
  • Finish things off with a touch of sparkling enamel dots.

That's all for me, I hope I was able to inspire you today! :)

Sweet Spring

Hello, hello!
Happy Sunday!

Today, I'm sharing a 'just for fun' card. No design team work, no challenges, just pure fun and using the good ol' stash of 'new to me, never been used'. (lol)

For today's card, no stamping. Just some papers and ephemera from Not 2 Shabby

So simple when you can make a card with no stamping, right?!...Sometimes we just need that quick card or just want to take it easy with things. I'm telling you the ephemera works like a charm every time. ;)

The layout of my card was inspired by Jamie's (Not 2 Shabby) card from her YouTube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g5JiqOaABM
I just love the half and half of patterned paper and then having a center piece. So fun, right?!...

Well, that's all for me.

A simple yet beautiful Spring card

Hello, hello!
Hope all is well?!...

Today, I'm sharing another card I designed for Not 2 Shabby and using the new Bunnies in Bloom bundle! If you haven't checked out the bundle/products, you'll want to be sure to check things because once they sell out, they're gone, so don't wait too long. ;) (As of now, the bundle is sold out but you still can get the papers and ephemera and that's all I used on my card for today! :))

Here's my card...

I promise you this card is so simple to make yet it's beautiful right?!...I've included all the steps below so you can make this card as well and/or put your twist on things. ;)

Let's make this card!

  • Choose some patterned papers from the Bunnies in Bloom paper pad and ephemera. (you'll see I chose a couple different flower pieces because I wasn't sure which one I was going to use.)
  • Cut the two pieces of patterned paper to a size of 3 1/2" x 5".
  • Adhere the two pieces together, slightly angled.
  • Set aside.
  • Using the flower ephemera piece adhere the butterfly to it.
  • Add foam tape on the back of the ephemera.
  • Adhere to the papers from above.
  • Add paint splatters using a black paint marker (or black watercolor with a slightly damp paintbrush).
  • Set aside and let dry.
  • Using the solid color sheet of patterned paper from before (above), cut a strip the size of 3 5/8" x 1".
  • Set aside.
  • **note: I decided while in the process of making things to add an additional layer of kraft cardstock under the already adhered layers. Cut the kraft cardstock to the same size as above and adhere at a slight angle, just so it peeks out a tiny bit.**
  • Take an A2 white card base and adhere the layered papers with ephemera from above onto the card base.
  • Take the solid color cut strip and add foam tape to the back, wrap some burlap twine around the strip, tie in a bow and add to the card.
  • Adhere/add sparkling enamel dots.

Well, that's all for me. I hope I inspired you, today!

Don't forget too, the February Not 2 Shabby Monthly Mood Board Challenge is in full swing. It's so easy to play along and you even have a chance at winning a $15 gift certificate to the Not 2 Shabby Shop! Fun, right?!...I hope you'll play along?!...Join HERE
