HAPPY Birthday

Hey y'all! Whew!...After almost 3 hours I seem to have my computer working again! Hopefully, it stays that way! I am not very good with computers and I had some kind of nasty virus on it, that I couldn't get off no matter what I did. I ended up restoring my computer back to an earlier date and things are better. I'm satisfied with that for now.

Anyhow, I'm sure I'm boring y'all now! lol So, on to my card for the day! ;) I've been wanting to play with Seize the Sketch challenge, so I gave it a try.

Now, I first started out trying to make a card using papers and die cuts, though it just wasn't 'me'. Then, I actually, threw in the towel and said I'm not going to play. I really still wanted to play, though was still believing this was way out of my element. However, last night I was planning to relax in bed and watch some tv, then suddenly, it hit me! I thought if I could somehow tweak the sketch to be somewhat more CAS, I could have something.

And that something, is this!

After about 2 hours (yes, 2 hours) I finished my card. Not to 'toot my own horn', but I was and still am feeling quite proud of myself! :) Okay, so I hope y'all can see the sketch?!....For the background in the sketch I used a woodgrain stamp and masked off some areas of my card, to give me somewhat a 'weathered' look. Then I added my banner, using stamps. To top off my card and add some dimension, I layered some wood veneer butterfly pieces and threw some natural twine in the mix. As well as some clear rhinestones. Lastly, my sentiment I put on the right side verses the left side how the sketch showed. So, does it work? Do you like it? Or is this just a mess? lol Would love to hear what you think! ;)

Hey y'all! Hope all is well with everyone?! :) Sorry, I missed a couple days of posting anything. I decided yesterday, that I was gonna take the whole day off from doing anything! I spent the day with my family, which we went on some walking trails and then finished our walking off at the park playground. It was absolutely, beautiful! :) Anyhow, about my post today. I saw the current Casology challenge and decided to give it a try!

Here's my card!

I normally do not use purple! Not that I have anything against purple, it's just not necessarily my go to color. However, I made this card using some purples and I happen to quite like it! ;) What about you?.....

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! :) I'm stopping in today, to share a couple cards I made for some current challenges. And let me just let everyone know, I am in so much pain writing this because I have a terrible kink in my neck! lol Really, I can't even turn my head to the left. Let alone, I can barely move my neck up and down! You would not wanna see how I'm typing this post! lol ;)

Anyhoo, the first card I made for Case this Sketch challenge.

My second card I made for Casology challenge.

Surprisingly, I did some heat embossing! lol Something y'all rarely see from me! ;) Though I have to say, I really should play around more with embossing things....Love the outcome. ;)

Now, I came up with my first card and really did love it! But then, I started to wonder how it would look if I just did it mainly as a one layered card. Which led me to my second card. I ended up really lovin' them both...and didn't know which one to choose! What do y'all think?!.....

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! :) Hope all finds you well?!....Anyhow, I'm just stopping in to share a card I made for the current Case this Sketch challenge! :)

So, here's my card!

I went with the sketch....well, somewhat. I just tweaked it a little bit. Instead of using a rectangle, I used  a cloud/clouds. And instead of one paper strip behind it, I added two. I know I can see the sketch still, but hopefully, y'all can see it too?!... :)

Trio of hearts

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! Guess what time it is?!?......It's time for a new CAS on Sunday challenge!! :) So, for this challenge we're all about 'lovey dovey'! Show us your love/Valentine card!

Here is my card.

I played around with my card for awhile and ended up with this way. I stamped on my three hearts, using some pink ink. Then once it was dried, I stamped on my sentiment in black ink. Easy, right?!..... :)
