Another Sunday post

Hey y'all! I'm swinging back on in today, to share a few (yes, a few) cards with you!

You may remember me telling you, my husband got me a new camera for my birthday (which isn't until April) and that I was gonna wait until my birthday to open it?...Yeeeeah, that didn't happen! LOL I really did try, but so hard to resist when it's sitting right in front of you! ;)

Anyhow, I'm playing around with it today and trying to figure out the settings, etc. So, I had some cards I made and thought it was perfect to test out. And my lighting isn't the best today, so here goes nothing. ;)

Oh, and my 'cupcake card' is for the current The Card Concept Challenge which again, I'm cutting it close!

Card one.

I have not used a cupcake in awhile! lol I found an older cupcake set, that I had buried in a pile of stamps. I think they're actually quite cute, so who knows why I had them buried so deep?!...I kept my card nice and clean. I just did some coloring, added a piece of pattern paper peeking out from my cupcake and topped it off with some white cord. For some reason, I've been wanting to add this cord/twine to everything! lol Nothing special about it. Guess I'm just feeling it. ;)

5...happy birthday

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! :)

Today, we start a new challenge at CAS on Sunday! And this time we're all about a 'number(s)'.

Here's what I came up with.

I just love the 'three amigos' set from Mama Elephant!...So cute! (I also used some Waffle Flower sets, as well.) ;) And yes, my raccoon is a blue/gray color. I just was having fun with things and thought it would cut to do something a little different. After, I stamped a 5 and added a bright pink hat. To finish things off, added my sentiment and a few sequins. So, what you think?!...

Hey y'all! Happy Wednesday! Hope all is well?!...

My kids are on Spring break this week, so my time has been filled with some fun and craziness! ;)

I'm quickly swinging on in to share a card I managed to whip up, late last night. This time I'm playing along with the current Lawnscaping Challenge, which I'm cutting it close on this one! ;)

So, here's my card.

I recently won an online distress inks class (which I am soooo behind on). Though, I'm having fun learning different techniques and not too mention, all the inspiration that comes with it! ;) So, what I did for my background was using my distress inks directly on my paper. I chose two colors and just held the paper in place and ran each one across it. Easy, yeah?...Something so simple, yet it never even crossed my mind to do that! ;)

And I couldn't resist putting little googly eyes on that cactus! lol I think it adds some character. ;)

BABY

Hey y'all! Happy Monday!

Today, we have a brand new challenge at the Waffle Flower Photo Challenge!

Isn't that such a sweet inspiration photo?!...

Here's what I came up with.

I wasn't really aiming for a baby card, but that's what I ended up with! lol After some playing around, it all just started to come to me. I did some watercoloring for my 'cloud'. Then added some deep blue stars and a gold moon. After, I stamped my sheep in a soft pink and did some cutting. Once done, I added it to my 'circle' die cut piece. Then, I used the Waffle Flower 'Cat' die and just trimmed off the tail end and head. (Thought, it worked perfectly for a banner!?!) ;) And after added my 'baby' sentiment to it. Added it to my circle with a mini staple and added a touch of white twine. So, what do think?!...

So, here's my card.

Simple and sweet, yeah?!...Keeping everything 'one layer', I did some masking with my sentiment and water. Used some fun ink colors and called it good. :) Let me know what you think?!...

every cloud...

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday!

Today, we have a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday! This time we're all about using a 'sketch'.

Here's what I came up with.

I decided to flip the sketch, for my card. I kept things nice and clean. I just did some simple stamping and cutting. Then to tie everything together, I used a mini staple to hold my clouds together. Added my sentiment, along with some twine and sequins. That's it. What do you think?!...

Chocolate

Hey y'all! Happy Saturday! :)

Hopefully, Spring has come your way?!...Been nothing but sunny and humid, here. Mid to upper 80's...it feels oh so good! ;) (I'm really trying not to rub it in. lol)

Anyhoo, I recently went on a little shopping spree (again)! And I bought the new Verve Stamps chocolate set and die. I couldn't resist, especially knowing that Chaitali illustrated it. ;)

This is a 'just for fun' card.

Seriously, when making this card, I was smelling chocolate! lol I kept sniffing and sniffing..."like, am I really trippin'?!" (yes, I talk to myself like this. lol) Well, I'll tell you what it was (or at least what I think it was)...it was that new stamp smell! lol Guess that smell, along with thinking 'chocolate', had my smelling chocolate! If anyone else has this set, please feel free to let me know if you're smelling chocolate, too! ;)

But really, this is such a fun set! I've only made this card so far, but I'm gonna continue to play around with it some more. I kept going back and forth with the added twine at the top. I thought leaving it off, it looked to bare up there?...So, I added it back. But now looking at it, I'm thinking I should have gone the other way?!...lol...Sometimes I do these last minute decisions, which don't always go in my favor. Let me know what you think?!...

Hope you're having a great week, so far?!...Not too bad, here. Though, I'm still trying to get this whole morning thing down again! lol That 'spring forward' did it, I tell ya! ;)

Oh, my! I did some coloring! lol I'm certainly not the best at it, but I do enjoy it! ;) I started by masking off my area. Then randomly stamped on my flowers and leaves. After, I removed my masks and did my coloring. Once done, I added my strips of black paper and finished it off with a wood veneer banner, with my sentiment stamped on it. So, what do you think?!...

Beautiful photo, yeah?!...

So, here's my take on it.

Yep. I kept everything nice and clean. I used the Feather More stamp set and did some coloring! I know I'm not the best at coloring, but I sure have been enjoying it! ;) Hopefully, you can see my hint of color around the feather, as well?...I wanted it stand out a little more, rather than it just being flat (so to speak) on my card. So, what you think?!...

Feather More stamp set

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! :)

Just swinging on in to share a card! I saw the current The Card Concept challenge and thought I'd give it try! ;)

Here's what I came up with!

I went with a very soft CAS card. When I saw the photo, Wplus9's botanical bunch set came to me, and what better timing because I just got it the day prior. ;) Rather than inking my stamp in black, I went with using Hero Arts shadow ink in soft granite. After, I did some coloring. I layered my die cut sentiment three times and added a hint of pink to the bottom of it. (that may be hard to see?...) Simple and sweet, yeah?...

*Note: Here I go again about my photo! lol Seriously, I don't think it's a horrible photo. But now I seem to think my photos are looking 'grainy'?...Maybe to much editing on one part or time for a new camera?!...Well, I'm going with 'time for a new camera'! See, I've been working with the same camera for many, many years. Nothing fancy, which I happen to like because I'm not the best with gadgets and stuff. Though, I'm behind in as far as megapixels go...I could use something with more of them. So, I started 'hinting' (more like complaining) to my husband about it and well, he bought me a new camera!...For my birthday! lol My birthday's not until April!...I told him, I'll wait. (though, we'll see how that goes.) ;)

Anyhow, I'm swinging on in to share a card I made for a couple different challenges. I'm playing along with Virginia's View Challenge and Inkspirational Challenges!

So, here's my card.

I recently bought one of Lawn Fawn's new stamp/die sets and needed to put it to use! Seriously, this is another favorite of mine! It is sooo cute! ;) I used a woodgrain embossing folder for my background, along with Lil' Inker Designs die. Then, I stamped all my images twice and after, layered my die cut pieces together. After, I added them to my card base and then top it off with my sentiment and 'sprinkled' a few sequins. So, what you think?!...

Well, it seems I have to have different links, to link up! lol I tried posting my cards together but it seems the linky tool did not like that. lol ;)

I played some more and ended with this. Again, not so sure it's 'me'?...But I seem to like this card, better than my first one...maybe the colors or layout...maybe more 'me' in it that I can see...I really don't know! lol I just like it. :)

CAS on Sunday

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday!

Today, we have a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday!  This time we're all about 'Girl Power'...make a card for a girl. :)

So, here's my card.

Well, I actually did get some light! ;) Hopefully, my photo doesn't look too bad?!...

Well, as you can see, there's nothing! ACK! You see I have a card, but I had no opportunity to take a photo! The weather has been darn right nasty. Just rain, rain, and more rain. Along with dark skies. I really have no good lighting in the house and I even said, 'let's try to take a photo in the bathroom'...big time fail, there! LOL It didn't work in my favor at all! So, I will be posting my card as soon as I can snap a good photo. ;)

Now, I didn't want to leave y'all without a card. So, after going through my albums, I came across a card that I don't believe I shared before?...Sometimes my memory is not the best, so if I already did, I apologize. But please enjoy. ;)

I kept things simple. And rather than filling the sentiment in with the word 'stars', I went with adding a few little pink stars. Hopefully, it still works?!... ;)
