I'm baaack! And so soon! ;) Okay, so here's my last card to share for today. This one is for the new The Cutting Edge Challenge!
At first, I wasn't so sure I'd be able to whip something up! However, I did and I must say I really like it. ;)
Okay, so this took a little bit of time and thinking. I wanted to use 'a star' or 'stars' because that was one of the first things I took from the photo. Then I saw the color and knew I wanted to have something bold. So, I ended up using a star die with watercolor paper, some distress inks and 'voila'. Couldn't believe my vision in my mind, worked! lol I 'inlaid' the die cut, which made things pretty seamless. And to top everything off, I thought gold sequins would go perfectly! :) So, what you do think?!...
Thanks again for stopping on by!
I'll be seeing y'all soon! ;)

Hello and happy Sunday
Hey y'all! Hope you're enjoying a beautiful Sunday!?!...I'm just swinging on in, to share a couple 'back to back' posts. ;) First up, is a card I made for the current Seize the Sketch challenge and the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
Such a fun sketch! However, I did tweak it some so it could be CAS. ;)
Instead of using a background paper or die cut (for the shape), I decided to go with some masking. I used the die cut negative from a circle and placed it on my card. Then stamped my little flowers and stems randomly all over. And once done, removed the mask. Then once again, I went for some faux wood paper (been lovin' that lately)! Tied some natural twine around it and added my little tag. Not too hard, right?... ;)
Thanks for stopping by! And I'll be back shortly, with my second post!
Enjoy your day! :)

SRM Farewell...
Hey y'all! Today, I have one of those 'bitter, sweet' posts. As some of you may already know, my SRM Stickers term has come to a close. I honestly, don't think I could ever thank Susan enough, for giving me such an amazing and wonderful opportunity! Who knew she would see my work and take a chance with me?!...When I applied for the DT, I really had no idea what I was in store for. Once, Susan emailed me, telling me, that I was chosen, I was literally jumping up and down! No joke! It felt good! :)
You know, normally I work with stamps...and stamps only. So, stickers were somewhat 'new' to me. Well, shortly after receiving all my goodies, I fell in love with SRM Stickers! Seriously, these stickers 'melt' into your paper, like no other...they are THAT good. If you haven't had the chance to play with them, you should definitely give them a try! I think you'll love them, too! ;) They also have an amazing assortment of other goodies, that are just as lovable. One of the things I enjoyed working with, were the doilies and the pillow boxes...fun stuff, I tell ya! ;)
Now, I knew I would get to know Susan more, but what really blew me away, was how sweet, supportive, inspirational, and down the earth she was! Not saying, I didn't think she would be...but I think it's one of those things 'you never really know someone, until to work along with them'. ;)
I enjoyed the team soooo much! All the ladies I was working along side with, were truly talented and ever so sweet! And for me, what started out 'trying to figure out these ladies and get to know them more' ended up with ladies, I now call 'friends'. Amazing how much can come from being on a design team...Love it! :)
So, for this farewell, Susan is posting her favorite projects from us. And she had asked us to pick our favorite and share, as well. Boy, there were a lot of projects I made! After going through all of them, I ended up choosing this as one of my favorites.
Okay, so here's the 'sweet' part of my post. Even though I'm no longer on the SRM Stickers design team. I'm still continuing on The SRM Challenge design team, which allows me not only to play with SRM products, but I still get to work along side some friends and see Susan around! And that truly makes me happy! :)
Thank you so much for stopping by! Be sure to swing on over to SRM Stickers to see all of Susan's favorites! And if you haven't seen the new SRM design team, you really should take a look! They are a wonderful and talented group of ladies! I can't wait to see what they come up with! ;)
And one more time, a BIG THANK YOU to Susan!!! :) SRM will always have a place in my heart and on my cards! ;)
See y'all soon!
Enjoy your day!

Something about this card, just has a soft spot in my heart. Maybe it was my process of making it or the supplies used?...either way, I love it. And hopefully, so do you?!?...

Okay, I gotta admit...
Hey y'all! Okay. So I gotta admit...not having a card to share, was killing me!!! I like to try and keep my blog, updated and fresh! When, I gave y'all my little update yesterday, something just kept itching at me! Like, 'get yourself in gear and pull it together' type thing. lol So, all and all, that's what I did! I took a little break from some DT stuff and made a card for a couple challenges! :)
Okay, I knew when I saw the current Poppy Sketches challenge, I just had to play along again! Seriously, I can't get enough of these challenges! I love them! ;) Then, I saw the current CASology challenge and didn't want to pass that up! Because well, I love those challenges, too! Honestly, let's just say I love a lot of challenges! ;)
So, here's my card!
This just sort of came to me. I was actually surprised, that it came together so quickly! Normally, that wouldn't be the case! lol Now, I did debate whether to have my sentiment in black vs the brown. Though, because the little 'bee line' was black, I thought it would just 'blend together' too much. So, that's what led me to go with the brown. (Maybe I should have reversed it, so the sentiment was black and the bee line was brown?...) I also, wanted my sequins and bee to stand out. So with the brown sentiment and black bee line, I thought it would act like part of the wood. So what do you think?!...
Thanks for stopping by! And I'll still be a little busy working on things...though, I do have a scheduled post for tomorrow, which is special to me. I hope you'll swing by to see?!...And no, it's not my news yet. You're just gonna have to wait a little more for that. ;)
Enjoy your day and I'll see y'all soon!

A no card, quick post update!
Hello, friends!

So, please bare with me!...I really dislike not having a card to share, but believe I'm trying! There are some challenges I wanna play along with, so I'm definitely pushing myself not to miss any of them! Though, I guess it wouldn't be the end of the world if I didn't. lol Maybe close...but not the end. ;)
And a big thank you!...For all the support and sweet comments y'all have shown me! It truly means a lot! :)

happy, happy birthday
Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! Just a short little post for me, today. ;) It's a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday! This time it's all about birthday's, which I think this is a busy time of year for them!?! ;)
So here's my card!
To tell you the truth, I was a little overwhelmed making this card! Being the challenge is birthday and having such a wide range of ideas, I was a little all over the place! lol However, I manged to make something and I actually like it! ;)
For my labels, I did something a little different. I inked them up, then on a piece of scrap paper, I dabbed some of the edges off. I thought it added some interest and fun?!...I also did a little bit of masking for my butterflies. Then added sequins to top everything off. So, what do you think?!...
For this challenge, the lucky winner will get to be our Guest Designer for the next challenge! How fun is that?!!...Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday to see all the DT creations and all the details! ;)

Hello-sketch
Hey y'all! Happy Thursday! Can you believe this week is almost over?!...Man, oh man, time is flying! ;) Okay, so today I'm sharing another card I made for the Waffle Flower challenge! I'm not sure what it is, but I'm having fun with the sketch and making 'patterns' with the stamps! :)
I just ordered the new Flower Circles stamp set, and got it the other day. I couldn't wait to play with it! I am in LOVE with this set!!! So much fun!
This time I went for a one layer CAS card. I did some masking and stamped away! I kept the colors fun and summery...hopefully, that's what you feel?...I definitely see myself using this set a lot! So, don't be too surprised if you see it quite a bit...lol ;)

HELLO
Hey y'all! Today, I have a card a made for the new The Cutting Edge Challenge! I think is a pretty cool challenge, if you haven't checked it out yet, you really should! ;)
Okay, so just look at all the inspiration in those cards!!! At first, I was going with the whole 'cloud' thing again. And I did make a card with clouds, but really wasn't feeling it...Shocking, right?! lol So, back to square one I went. I did some thinking, and ended up with this!
Yep. I used a little PTI strip die (that came in a set I ordered) for the 'sun beams'. Then added my yellow paper behind it. After, I rounded all but one corner. Then, when I looked at it, I thought it needed something else. So, I used small little strips of yellow and added just a few more sun beams. And for my arched white piece, I used a circle die, though I only covered a portion of it. Once everything was put together, I added some gold sequins to top it off. Last but not least, after adhering to my card, I added my little banners. So, what do you think?!...

BE BOWTIFUL
Hey y'all! Yep. Two posts in one day...again! ;) And this card is for the new Waffle Flower challenge! I love Waffle Flower stamps and when I saw there was going to be a challenge started, I was excited! :) Some really fun stuff!
So here is my card!
So, I stuck to the sketch. Though I did throw in a little DIY pattern with the sentiment. ;) I kept things very basic with just a little 'pop' of teal color. For the 'circles', I used the bow and sequins to take place of them. I enjoyed this sketch and making my card! And I hope you enjoy it, too!?!...
Oh, and I used the Bowtiful stamp set! ;)
Thanks again for stopping by!
See y'all soon! Enjoy!

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! :) Today, I'm sharing a card I made for the current Less is More challenge. It's been a loooong time since I've played with them...guess 'time' got the best of me.?. I need to stop letting that happen! ;)
So, here is my card!
When I saw 'off the edge' and 'one layer', I knew this was right up my alley! However, I did have a little bit of a struggle and a possible 'hit my head against the wall' moment. lol Though after that, it struck me! I went for very basic colors of black and grey. And ran my sentiment off the edge. Simple, right?!...

thank you
Yep. I'm back with one more card, today! ;) This one is for the current Poppy Sketches challenge! And you know what?...I really struggled with this card! Why?...Believe it or not, I don't have anything that is of 'harlequin' pattern. I tore threw all my supplies, trying to find something and found nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. So, what was one to do?...I ended up trying my best to make my own harlequin pattern! This was no easy task, though I went for a more 'fun, somewhat simple, and clean approach'. ;)
So, here's what I came up with!
Now, hopefully my pattern shows well?...I swear to you, there are some 'diamonds' in there! ;) I scored the lines to be uneven with on another, because I thought it would add a little more interest. But really, it was a lot easier! lol ;) And to make sure I didn't cover up my lines, I added a simple wood veneer heart, with my sentiment towards the bottom. I was gonna go for a white card base, but then came across this lighter kraft/brown color and liked it better. If anyone can recognize that paper, please let me know! It isn't very heavy, my guess would be maybe 80lb or maybe even 65lb?...You wouldn't wanna use it as a base card, but it's not terribly flimsy either and it is smooth as butter. The overall color is just beautiful to me. I usually have PTI kraft cardstock on hand and I know it's not that, nor Bazzill. Anyhow, I'm rambling now. lol ;)
Okay. So that's it for me! I'll be back soon!
Take it easy!
Enjoy! :)

happy day
Hey y'all! Happy Saturday, hope all is well?!...Okay. So, I made quite a few cards, recently. However, it's taking me some time to actually get them up! My weather is getting to the typical 'afternoon storms for a minute, then clears up' and sometimes that'll repeat itself more than once! And lately, it has! ;) I actually love storms...though, not when I have photos to take! lol
Anyhow, on to my card! So, I made this for the current Seize the Sketch challenge. Once again, when I saw the sketch, I was lovin' it! ;) Now, I knew I wanted to play...though, I do have admit, I did struggle with it. I may have been somewhat in a slump?...Or had too much going on?...I really don't know?!...But, I did get a card made! ;)

So, what you think?!...I've gone over and over in my head, if I really am liking this or not.?. I honestly can't figure it out!?! One minute, I'm saying 'yeah, this is good'. The next minute, I'm saying 'it needs more of something'. I just don't know!?! Something I do know, is I'm gonna try and challenge myself to come up with one more card, just to see what happens. ;)

Elephant
Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! I have a short and sweet post today. ;) Today, is a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday! This time we're all about 'paper piecing'.
So, here is my card!
I kept this real simple. I want my elephant to speak for itself. I inked up some Altenew stamps, then of course did my cutting. Easy, right?...
I hope you're ready to play with us?!...If so, you have a chance at being our next Guest Designer! How awesome is that?!...
Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday, to see all the DT creations and show some love! ;)

You brighten my cloudy days
Hey y'all! I'm here today, with my second post! Woohoo! ;) I made this card for the current Cure for the Monday blues challenge! I've been meaning/wanting to play along with the challenges for awhile now. Though, sometimes there's just not enough time in the days! (I'm sure we can all relate?!...) However, I actually manage to whip something up! Yay! :)
So here's my take on it!
Yep. So I knew clouds, would most likely make it into my card! ;) Hopefully, your not tired of seeing them?!...There's something about clouds that I just really like. Then when I happened to get some new cloud stamps in the mail, I just had to ink them up! And really, they do fit in with the challenge pic. ;) Okay, so enough about clouds. lol Top tie everything into my card, from the inspiration photo, I added a little pink banner and a little smiley face coming out from behind cloud. (which, I just did a little masking for that.) I was gonna just leave it as was. But then, I thought I'd throw in a few little sequins.
Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!
-Shelly
So here's my take on it!
Please note: This photo may not be the best. Though, it really was the best I could get. The colors are very light/settle, and no matter my background/lighting it was a real challenge. |

Happy Summer
Hey y'all! Happy Friday! Today, we have another new challenge at The SRM Challenge blog! And this time it's all about Summer! Hopefully, by now y'all are seeing some sunshine and feeling some heat?!...Here in Florida, we're nice and warm (probably, hot for some) and the sun is ever so shining! ;)
Now, this card is different from my typical CAS style. What made me create a card like this?...I'm not really sure, to be honest. I thought I would try my hand at more layers, papers, embellishments, etc. I do like it, though I'm not sure if it's really 'me'?...So, what would you say?...And, please don't think for a minute that I would ditch my CAS style! Because, I don't think will ever happen! lol Though, does it hurt to mix things up a bit every now and then?...
Okay, so hopefully you're ready to play with us?!...Be sure to head on over to The SRM Challenge and check out what's up for grabs, our Guest Designer, and DT creations! :) Hope to see you there!
Thank you for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Baby tag
Hey ya'll! Happy Wednesday! Today, I have a tag to share. Once again, I'm playing along with Virginia's View Challenge! :)
Okay. Let's be honest. This challenge had me not only thinking, but questioning myself if I could even come up with something! I don't always make tags, though I do really enjoy them! ;) I sometime's feel CAS is the way to go, but then when making tags I feel they're too bare for me?...I don't know. Guess I'm a little weird like that?...lol And don't get me wrong, I see plenty of CAS tags and I love them. I just seem to always second guess my CAS tags. ;)
Now, here's what I came up with!
Alright. Honestly, I did think about this tag. However, I wasn't planning it to go in the direction it did! I was playing around with things...Really, I was starting to get pretty frustrated, because nothing was wanting to come together! At one point, I felt like throwing in the towel and saying forget it! Though, something just kept pushing me to keep at it. And as you can see, I went with it.
I have to say, I think my tag ended up being pretty darn cute?!...I figure it would be perfect for a baby shower or new arrival, etc. And for the challenge part, not only did I make a tag. But all the papers were from my scraps, I just cut them down in size. And for a 'recycled item' I found a tiny safety pin, thought that was somewhat meant to be...fits well. ;) To top things off, I used a natural wood flower button, wood veneer piece, some sequins and tied a little piece of twine on the safety pin. So, how do you like it?...

I just seem to always second guess my CAS tags. ;)

hello/butterfly
Hey y'all! I'm back again! And I just can't seem to get enough of Seize the Sketch!!! ;) Something about this sketch...It's like a 'go to' sketch for me! I just can;t get it out of my mind! lol
So, here's another card I made!
Did a little bit of layers again and threw in some feathers and butterflies! Then, I used another one of those 'hello' stickers. Which, I picked a sheet of those up at Michaels. Best thing about that, was it said .99$, but when I got to the checkout it was actually only .49$!!! Who could go wrong with that kind of a deal?! ;)
Hope you enjoy?!?

Celebrate, with style
Hey y'all! Happy Monday! A fresh start to the week and I'm feeling good about it! ;) So, today I'm sharing a card I made for the current Seize the Sketch! I also, saw the current Casual Fridays challenge and thought I'd give it a go, as well! Pretty fun combining two challenges in one (that's not something I'm always able to do!). ;)
So, here's my card!
Hopefully, the sketch shines through?!...And hopefully, this works for a masculine card?!...I understand my bow is pink, though I figured since my husband wears pink, why not?! ;) My husband has a real nice hot/neon pink shirt and I love it! lol :)
I decided to do a little layering and stuck with using one stamp set. Which for the sentiment, I taped the bottom half, then stamped it (of course, remove the tape before stamping). After I left a space in the middle and taped the top half, then stamped it. Leaving a nice space to put my bow in. :) So, what do think?!...
