Hey y'all!
Hope all is well?!...
Today, I'm stopping in with a somewhat different kind of post. I was recently contacted by Heather Von St. James, asking if I could help her out by spreading 'hope' for the holiday season. So, of course I said yes!
You see, Heather is a 10 year survivor of Mesothelioma!...You go girl!!
Heather and her family! |
Sharing a glimpse of her story...She found out in 2005 about having Melignant Pleural Mesothelioma. And without treatment was only given 15 months to live and with treatment given about 5 years. Now flash forward 10 years, yes 10 and she's still here and stronger than ever, I'm sure! Truly amazing...If you'd like to know more about Heather, please click on her story.
I don't think we always hear much about Mesothelioma or that we hear the word Mesothelioma but don't really know exactly what it is?...To read/learn more about it, you can click here.
So, with all that being said and Heather wanting to spread hope for the holidays and year round. I made a card to share with you all.
I was honestly going to go with a 'hope' card, one that actually had the word hope somewhere on it. But then, I came across some stamps that I have barely, if at all, have used. And when I saw the quote "Just living is not enough...one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower."from -Hans Christian Anderson, I thought it was more than perfect.
I think we all can use hope in our lives and with that being said, I'd like to send this card along with a little gift of 'hope' to someone! All you need to do is leave a comment and I'll randomly pick a winner...I'll leave the comments open until Jan. 8th 12:00pm EST and announce the winner on Jan. 10th.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!
