Hey y'all! Happy Friday!!

I'm swinging back in today to share a card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! It has been waaay too long since I've played along with their challenge. Seeing the inspiration board and having been just delivered to me a new set of theirs, I thought I'd better play along. ;)

I've been wanting Lawn Fawn's new Sweet Friends set since the first day I saw it. And finally after waiting a little bit, I took the plunge and bought it. :) 

Oh, what's this?!...I used some patterned paper! And look, there's even a little bit of layers to my card! lol I still think thinks is somewhat CAS, though sometimes I enjoy throwing different things together to see what happens. It's good to have fun, right?!...

Well, that's all for me. I'm off to do some much needed visiting and commenting. :)

'Bee' love

Hey y'all!
Hope your week is off to a great start?!...

Certainly a Monday for me...lol I feel like I'm dragging my feet big time, today. Normally I can deal with Monday's and all that it gives me. Though, it seems like I'm running around trying to get things done, yet I seem to be late or behind with actually getting anything done. Does that make sense?!...lol Hopefully tomorrow will be better. ;)

Anyhow, me and my later (9 pm, here) post...I do have a card to share! I'm joining in on the fun at the current Paper Smooches challenge. :)

I was playing around with some stencils (yes, stencils. lol) and suddenly things came to me. Well, I also had a little Paper Smooches die sitting on my desk. Which is 'new to me' so I was wanting to use it.

I choose the outline of my bee's to be black and then the inside to be a 'gold glitter'. I also added some clear vellum to their wings and a little pink heart. Sweet, yeah?!...To finish things off, a sweet little sentiment from an older Paper Smooches set. Simple, yeah?!...

Well, that's all for me tonight. I have to tuck my kids into bed and possibly myself. lol So tired, I tell you.

Hug in a mug

Hey y'all! Happy Thursday!
Hope all is well?!...

Brrr...it is sooo cold here!! And I cannot do cold weather at all and my body is obviously telling me so. Just was done being under the weather and thought everything was good until last night and today. My body is so achy and I can't the chill off of me...ugh. Though, (because I'm stubborn) I'm pushing myself to get through this and still doing my normal day to day things. With that being said, I did make a card to share today. Yay! :)

This is a just for fun card, no challenges or anything. I have some new goodies sitting on my desk and even though I used this set once before, I still want to use it a little more before putting it away. ;)

I kept things nice and clean. Simply did some easy stamping and then coloring. After, I added a stitched border using a die and my sentiment on a banner, along with some burlap twine. easy peasy, right?!...

*Note: I did add some light blue around my plate and light grey in my spoon, though my photo doesn't do it justice. sigh...another one of those photo issues. Can't always win. On the plus side, at least it's still a decent photo. ;)

Hope you're week is off to a good start?!...

Happy to say that I'm feeling better and my kids all seem good, as well. :) I'm still a little tired feeling but good, and still getting things done. ;)

Anyhow, today I'm swinging in sharing a card for the current Paper Smooches Challenge.

Being the theme of the challenge is 'anything goes' I decided to have some fun with my card...I actually dipped into my patterned paper stash! lol Isn't that a rare occasion for me?!... ;) 

Even with using patterned paper I still tried to make things pretty simple. I did some easy die cutting and coloring and then a fun sentiment with a speech bubble. To top things off, I added a sprinkling of sequins. Pretty simple and straight forward, yeah?!...

Well that's all for me today. I'm off to go look at some projects and make some blog visits!

Two cards, one challenge.

Hey y'all! Happy Saturday!
Hope all is well?!...

Yesterday, I woke up to some sick kiddos and today I'm not feeling too hot. The only plus side is it seems to be a quick 24 hr bug. So hopefully that's the same case for me. Ugh.

Anyhow, I did have some time to crafty the other day and managed to get some editing done. So today I'm sharing two cards for the new Twofer Card Challenge.

I actually have been having THIS set around for awhile and just never really used it. And you wanna know why?!...because I have tendency to put things away before using them and forget about them. lol However, I now have been going through things and when I do have something new I usually keep it on my desk until I use it. (Thinking that will help me some.) ;) 

I kept things nice and simple for both my cards. I did choose to use the same colors for each card, though I did change up the layout of things and as well as the sentiment/theme. Simple, yeah?!...

Well that's all for me today. I'm gonna try to eat some and just rest. ;)

Gingerbread Snowflake

Hey y'all! Happy Tuesday!
Hope all is well?!...

Things are starting to get back to normal here with my kids back in school. Granted I home school them, there still is a schedule we follow. ;)

Anyhow, I'm swinging in today to share a card for a 'new to me' challenge. I actually just found out about it today! When I was visiting some crafty blogs I came across it...I'm talking about the current Be Inspired Challenge from Laurel. :)

When I saw the inspiration photo, my mind went straight to the gingerbread cookies. The snowflakes to be exact. So I based my card off of that and the light color of blue. 

Nice and clean, right?!...I played with some distress oxide ink for my background and then added a die cut snowflake. Which I did one in dark brown for the 'cookie' and one in white for the 'icing'. I did also add some shimmer to my white but unfortunately I could not capture it on my photos. :( But trust me it's there. ;) I thought about a sentiment to put on and ended up deciding that I liked it blank. Was that a good idea?...I don't know. But I still think it's a nice card.

I made this card for the current CAS-ual Friday's Challenge.

Hold on to your seat because I actually used embossing paste!! lol I don't know why I don't start using things more often?...I have so much stuff that I sometimes just forget about or leave out (sometimes I just get overwhelmed with things as well). Maybe that will be a goal for me this year...to start using more of the forgotten things I have.  ;) 

I wanted to keep my card clean, though I did want some kind of settle background. So I thought the white embossing paste would do the trick. After I used a stitched frame for my border and some glitter cardstock with my die, then simply added my sentiment on top. Easy peasy, right?!...

P.S.

Notice I took my picture differently than what I normally do (usually I take them flat)...I had to do this because I needed to capture the white embossing paste. When I took my photos with my card flat, I could see the paste on my photo but then when editing and changing the brightness/contrast it would be gone. Not sure if you may have any tips or tricks how to photograph/edit photos with white embossing paste?...Though, I would love to hear them! All take all the help I can get! lol ;) Thanks in advance! :)

Hope all is well?!...

Things seem to be slowly getting back on track. This is my kids last week off from school and then Monday they'll start back up again. So I'm trying to savor the last little bit. ;)

I'm stopping in to share a 'just for fun' card. I ordered some new goodies for Christmas and couldn't wait to play with them! Though, I should have ordered a couple more things (like some sentiments). So my card has a little bit of a mix of different brands.
