December Not 2 Shabby Monthly Mood Board Challenge

Hello, hello!
Happy Tuesday, hope all is well?!...

*I know I have been quiet lately and there is a reason for that, not one I wanted but you can read more at the end of this post if you're curious what's been going on.

So, today I'm swinging in to share a card I made for the December Not 2 Shabby Monthly Mood Board Challenge! I made a super quick and easy card using one of Not 2 Shabby's card fronts. Don't you love it when you can just whip something up extra quick?!...

Here's my card...

Let's make this card together!

  • Start with an A2 card front.
  • Tear the right side of the card front.

  • With the right side torn, use a gold metallic paint pen and brush it on the torn side.
  • Set a side and let dry.

  • Take a piece of patterned paper and trim to fit an A2 cardbase.
  • Adhere to cardbase.
  • Take the torn card front panel and adhere to the card.
  • Set aside.

  • Use the sentiments with the card front pack along with Teresa's One and Done Sentiments die.
  • Pick out a sentiment to use on the card. (In this case, Embrace the joy of winter.)

  • Add foam tape on the back of the sentiment and add to the card.
  • Adhere sparkling enamel dots.

That's it! So simple, right?!...I hope I inspired you today!

**So where have I been and what's going on??...Well, I wish I could say I was traveling or just relaxing, enjoying things but no, no, no...there were other plans for me. Long story short (somewhat?)

I ended up a couple weeks back having terrible (and I mean TERRIBLE) pain in my stomach. I tried to just ride things out and by day 3 finally said, something is wrong. I ended up in the ER and sure enough had a gallstone blocking my duct. So that needed to be removed. Well, the hospital I was at didn't/doesn't have a GI surgeon, so I had to be transferred to another hospital. When I finally got to that hospital, surgery was scheduled for a couple days later. Well, a couple days later came but had to push the surgery to the next day because the doctor wanted everyone at the best rather than it being at the end of the day/evening. (I completely understood that and thanked him for that.) The next day comes but not only am I having one surgery, I now will have TWO back to back surgeries because not only are they removing the gallstone, they are going to remove my gallbladder as well. (The doctor said it would be for the best because if I didn't I'd be right back in the hospital in 3-6 months with the same issue again. And that is something I don't want to experience again...so take it all! I just want out of pain!) Two surgeries in less than 24 hours apart, whoa! But they both went really well and the only thing I had to deal with was the pain from having surgery (which thankfully only lasted a 3-4 days) and my throat being rough from the tube(s) that were there during both surgeries (which is still at little rough but much better than before). I have to slowly reintroduce certain foods and I'm limited on lifting heavy things for a little bit. Overall, I'm looking at 6-8 weeks for a full recovery but within another week I can start to increase how much weight I'm carrying. I'm not used to being limited on activities because I'm always doing something but I'm learning to slow down and not to push myself. I'm thankful cardmaking is a 'light' activity and while it might take me some time to create a card (lots of breaks), at least I can still create things. :) So yeah, that's pretty much where I been and what happened to me.

Best of 2025 Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hi y'all!
Happy Tuesday!

You may have seen the recent news/update with me that I had to have (unexpectedly) two surgeries, which ultimately ended up with me having my gallbladder removed. I'm slowly recovering, trying not to push myself too much. While I may not be able to lift anything heavy (10 lbs or more) for a bit, I'm thankful card making is lightweight! ;) I do have to take breaks here and there but at least I can still do what I love. :)

So that's a little short recap of things and why I've been a little quiet.

Today, I'm on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog sharing some of my favorites from 2025. It's always fun to look back at things, right?!...Here's a peek at one of my cards I chose...

To see all my favorites be sure to swing by the CLP blog...I would love to see you there! :)

November Not 2 Shabby Monthly Mood Board Challenge-A masculine card

Hi y'all!
Happy Sunday, hope you're enjoying your day!?!...

The November Not 2 Shabby Monthly Mood Board Challenge is in full swing! Have you played along?...It's so fun and easy to play along, just create a card inspired by the mood board and/or colors, that's it! And you don't even have to use Not 2 Shabby products (though, if you do you can submit more than one card), more details/rules below. ;)

For my card today, I went masculine as I was looking at the mood board and saw the fisherman. With that being said, here is my card...

Can you believe this card came together so easily and quickly?!...and this is coming from someone who struggles with masculine cards! lol  So if I can do it, so can you! :)

Let's make this card!

  • Start with patterned paper from the Rugged Birthday paper pad. (in this case, the woodgrain)
  • Cut the paper slightly smaller to fit onto an A2 cardbase.
  • Add some gold metallic paint splatters.
  • Set aside and let dry.
  • Using the paper from the Rugged Birthday paper pad, cut out the 'ephemera' pieces. (leaving a little white border around the pieces)
  • To the Happy Birthday tag ephemera piece, punch a hole and add burlap twine through the hole.
  • Take the panel from earlier and add on the two 'fish' 'ephemera' pieces, layering things and adding foam tape on the back of the top image.
  • Take the tag with burlap twine and wrap around the panel, tie in a knot and add a small piece of foam tape on the back of the tag.
  • Add the panel to an A2 cardbase using foam tape on the back.
  • Set aside.
  • Take white cardstock and the Ultimate Sentiments Birthday stamp and stamp sentiments using black ink.
  • Use the Ultimate Sentiments Universal die with the stamp sentiments.
  • Choose a sentiment to use. (in this case, 'grow old but never grow up')
  • Add to the card using foam tape.
  • Add sparkling enamel dots.

Well, that's all for me. I hope I have inspired you, today! And I hope to see you at the November Not 2 Shabby Monthly Mood Board Challenge! :)

Hello, hello!
Happy Wednesday, hope all is well?! :)

I'm swinging in today to share another project using the Sticker Book designed by Teresa from Not 2 Shabby! My last few projects have been cards but today is a Christmas tag. And it's super easy to make!

Without further ado, here is my tag...

Simple, right?!...Follow the steps below to make this tag and maybe even add your own spin on things?!...

  • Start with white cardstock and use the EZ Wonder Die #1 Add-On with the square die.
  • Use the sticker book and adhere the 'presents' sticker to the tag.
  • Again, using the sticker book, adhere the border of the 'pine' at the bottom of the tag.
  • Trim off the sticker that hangs over the edge of the tag (or you could fold it over).
  • Using a piece of silver glitter cardstock, cut into a small strip.
  • Adhere the silver glitter strip to the tag, just above the pine strip on the tag.
  • Make a hole for the twine (or ribbon).
  • Add twine (or ribbon) and tie into bow.
  • Add an additional piece of twine (or ribbon) so it can be added to a gift.
*Note: I left my tag blank but you can easily add on a 'to and from' and/or even write things on the back. ;)
