Happy Thursday!
Today, I'm sharing a fun card I made using the September Crafty Crew Kit from Crafty Stamp Co.! This kit seriously has so many creative possibilities, it is sooo awesome! If you missed my last couple cards using this kit you can check them out HERE and HERE. Be sure to get your kit today!
Here's my card for the day...
Shall we make this card together?!...Follow along below!
Supplies needed: September Crafty Crew Kit, White cardstock/paper (marker friendly), Copic markers, Black ink, Burlap twine, Scissors, White gel pen, Adhesive/Glue, Low profile foam tape.
Step 1: Using a piece of patterned paper from the Unicorns & Cotton Candy paper pad, create 2 tags. (how to below)
Tag 1 (larger tag): Trim patterned paper to 2 3/4" x 4 1/4". Then cut one side (that will be the top of the tag) at an angle. Using the piece you cut, flip it to the other side and then cut. (things will be the same on both sides when you do that, which makes it so much easier than trying to guess or eyeball it.) After cutting the angled sides you may need to trim down the top middle slightly. The overall cut tag should be 2 3/4" x 3 1/4" after cutting everything.
Tag 2 (smaller tag): Using the same patterned paper from above, trim to 1 1/2" x 3". Then follow the same process as above to cut the angled sides/middle top. The overall cut tag should be 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" after cutting everything.
Step 2: Set tags aside.
Step 3: Using white cardstock/paper that is marker friendly, stamp on the unicorn plushie using black ink.
Step 4: Color unicorn with Copic markers. In this case, colors, BG11, BG23, RV02, RV10, RV36, RV52, RV66, RV69.
Step 5: Fussy cut the colored image/unicorn plushie.
Step 6: Using a white gel pen, add highlights and then set aside.
Step 7: Using white cardstock/paper that is marker friendly, stamp on the candies using black ink.
Step 8: Color the candies using Copic markers. In this case, colors, BG11, BG23, RV02, RV10.
Step 9: Fussy cut the colored images/candies and set aside.
Step 10: Take a piece of white cardstock and cut it to 3/4" x 2 3/4".
Step 11: Stamp sentiment onto the white cardstock strip using black ink.
Step 12: Adhere the sentiment strip to the bottom of the large tag and set aside.
Step 13: Using an A2 white card base, adhere the big tag at a slight angle onto the card using low profile foam tape.
Step 14: Using the small tag, adhere that to the bigger tag at a slight angle using low profile foam tape.
Step 15: Adhere the unicorn plushie image to the small tag using low profile foam tape.
Step 16: Adhere the candies onto the tag/card using low profile foam tape on the two candies (the one on top of the sentiment strip and the one at the bottom of the tag), adhere the last candy using glue/tape. Set aside.
Step 17: Make a bow. Using burlap twine, double it up and tie a bow. *note: you can make a bow out of what you have on hand...twine, ribbon, etc.
Step 18: Glue bow onto the top of the tags.
That's all for me. I hope I was able to inspire you today?!...Maybe put your own twist on things, I would love to see what you create!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!
