Blue pomegranates?!?...

 Hi y'all! 

Hope all is well?!...Things are good here. :) I've been a little quiet on my blog, besides posting for DT things...it's not that I haven't been creating but I'm trying to get back on schedule of things, now that my kids started school back up. I still homeschool them as before, it's just trying to work out a plan for all my kiddos and still give myself time for blogging, etc. ;) 

Anyhow. I'm sharing a card I made for the current Altenew Inspiration Challenge.

I was inspired by many things, one being in the garden, the other being the colors and even by the sketch. So I tried to mix in a few different things for my card. ;) 

Have you ever heard of or seen blue pomegranates?!...Well, me neither. lol But I thought why not?... ;) 

Pretty straight forward, right?!...I did some easy watercoloring with the image and then used the matching die with it, once things were dried. After, I added some paint splatters onto my card base and then stamped on 'thank you' towards the bottom corner. Once done, I added my watercolored image and then topped things off with some enamel dots. Easy peasy, yeah?!...

Paper Smooches Challenge...Anything Goes!

Hi y'all! 

Hope all is well?!...

Today, starts a new Paper Smooches Challenge! It is also my last post as a design team member...thank you Kim and Savannah for having me!! I had a blast!! :) 

For this challenge, it's anything goes! Fun, right?!...

Once again keeping things simple, I used the Geo Frame dies and did some ink blending with the main frames. After, I used the leaves and blooms in the die set with a few different colored cardstock and a little bit of white glittered cardstock. I just layered things to slightly 'peek out' from one another and to give a little more depth. Before actually adhering anything down, I stamped on the sentiment using black ink. For a finishing touch, I added a piece of burlap twine. Simple, yeah?!...

You light me up

I'm swinging in to share a card I made for the current Pinkfresh Studio Challenge. 

I decided to use colored pencils to color my image with. I chose some shades of blue, pink/red, and grey. I was going to color the whole image with just using the blues and pinks/reds. But then after coloring part of the image I thought grey would be nice and make the blue and pink/red 'pop' more...I could be wrong but I went with it?....I used the matching die with the image once I was done and before adding it to my card, I used an embossing folder for my background. To finish things off, I added a touch of enamel dots and a little sentiment. SImple, yeah?!...

Paper Smooches Challenge...Happy Birthday!

Hope all is well?!...

Today, starts a new Paper Smooches Challenge! :) This time it's all about birthdays! Fun, right?!...

I kept my card simple and went for a boy birthday card. Though, I still think you could give this to a girl as well?! ;) I used the PS Boom Bots for my images and then used colored pencils to color them in with (I also used the matching dies to die cut them). After, I used the Party Balloon dies for the balloon and I simply used patterned paper and colored cardstock for it. Lastly, I stamped on my sentiment, added my images, and then a touch of enamel dots. Simple, right?!...
